I never used a reusable link before I’d just continue to reuse the Shimano quick link again and again then read they we’re supposed to be single use. So that prompted me to try the KMC reusable links. 2nd time I connected it there was quite a bit of play enough so that I didn’t trust it and I’m not using it. I’ll just continue to reuse the Shimano link that comes with the chain.

Given most quick-links for 11-speed chains are only rated for a single use (and who wants to play with safety chancing it with a risky reuse of a stock, single-use link?) these are a godsend. KMC's Missing Link is rated for 5+ re-uses and will join a Shimano, SRAM, or Campagnolo 11-speed chain with assured confidence. If you're into using immersion hot wax for chain maintenance these links make an incredible amount of sense. And given this is a two-pack you can carry a spare in your saddle bag for on-the-road chain repairs (not likely to be needed but you never know...).

I can't really give a detailed review since I haven't actually used these parts. They are "insurance" against a possible chain failure sometime. I carry them on every ride but I hope I never even need them. Maybe it's just bad luck, but what often breaks on the trail is what you don't have in replacement parts. So carry this small item and feel secure in knowing you can ride home if your chasin breaks.

I bought these links to extend my gravel bike's chain since replacing the chainring from 38T to 42T. Installation is very easy with no tools required. Overall quality is excellent and doesn't feel as if it will break within 10 miles. I'd venture to say these will more likely to last 10,000 miles under normal condition and with proper maintenance.

I installed this about a month ago on my newest bike build. New old stock 2008 Columbus Zona frameset, Easton EA90SLX wheelset with a new Centaur 11 speed rim brake groupset. The link was installed in the centaur chain. I’ve ridden the bike a dozen times so far. Being back on a steel rim brake Campy bike is fabulous bc it’s absolutely silent and ultra smooth.

I didn’t realize my chain came with one of these...now I have some spares. The 11 speed link is slightly more difficult to close than the 10 speed and lower ones, but otherwise it works as expected. KMC recommends you replace it after opening and closing it three times.

Can help get chains on and off your bike easily. Makes maintenance an easy order when I need to get into the disks or when it's time to replace a worn chain.
