The tentacles hang straight instead of curling like the pictures, which makes the look a bit flat, but you can tweak them for more shape. This is such a fun and cute hat…unfortunately some of the advertisement is misleading. The large portion to represent the octopus’ head is not as large as it appears in the first photo used on Amazon. (I hav included the picture from Amazon with this review and have marked, in red, the portion of the hat I am referring to.) The fit is great though possibly on the smaller side although it doesn’t interfere with wear and it doesn’t cause the hat to be too tight or snug. The hat provide good warmth while simultaneously being a statement piece. It is well made and seems like it is going to last for years to come.

I bought this for a boy who has leukemia and has lost all his hair. Sure, a regular hat would do the job, but why not make it fun? He loves it!

Okay so the hat is not quite as it's pictured. The tentacles are definitely not curled. The back of the squid is definitely much smaller than in the picture. And I don't know about you but I feel like my squid looks depressed. I still like it and I still think it's a funny hat but I wish it was a little bit more accurate to the picture. Just feels a little flat and sad. Glad I was not giving this as a gift to someone cuz I would be quite disappointed. But my kids are definitely enjoying it.

I love this hat! If you are a fan of the unusual, the weird, or just have always wanted to wear an octopus on your head this is the hat for you! I have a large head, and the hat stretched comfortably to fit on my head. While the picture of the man wearing this hat shows the tentacles curled, the hat comes with the tentacles hanging straight down. I think they look better curled, so I twisted the tentacles into a tight curl and then released them- they did retain some of the curl. The hat reached midway over my ears, but does not cover the bottom half of my ears. Bummer.I am surprised that my dogs could have cared less that I am wearing an octopus on my head.This is going to be a great hat to wear to remind me not to take things so seriously. And for those times I don't mind being stared at, and perhaps my sanity being questioned. I rather enjoy surprising people that way, and creating an unexpected experience in their day.It is November as I write this, so perhaps you know someone that would appreciate this hat as a holiday gift? It is sure to be a present that they will never forget!The yarn is soft and very comfortable. For the amount of work that had to go into making this hat, the price is very reasonable.Enjoy! And if you didn't know, an octopus is an incredibly intelligent and fascinating creature. I am proud to wear one on my head!

I recently got the Knitted Winter Hat Squid Knit Beanie Novelty Octopus Hat for my son, and it has brought us so much joy and laughter. The design is incredibly fun and unique, making it a delightful addition to his winter wardrobe. However, I was disappointed to find that it broke the second time he wore it. The octopus's legs came off quite easily, which was unfortunate. Despite this, the hat provided us with a great laugh and a memorable experience. I hope the manufacturer can improve the durability of this otherwise entertaining product
