Sadly this winter a heron came and totally devastated our pond goldfish population. It was only after the event that I learned about the pond net option. It looks like it should work. I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet (we have not yet replaced the population, so we have some time). It may also serve to keep deer out (who love to eat the pond plants and since they ate all of them this year that left the fish more exposed to the heron), but worry that the deer may also destroy it or that they may tangle in it. So I’m a little hesitant to try it because of that concern (or that other wildlife may get caught in it). We also plan to try deer resistant aquatic plants this year. So we have the net on hand in case we really need it! Definitely well worth the amazing price!

So far it’s kept our bird of prey predator out of our fish.

The Xmdeliver Pond Cover is a solid choice for keeping leaves, debris, and unwanted critters out of your pond.Installation & FitOne of the best things about this cover is how easy it is to install. The design makes it simple to set up without a lot of hassle, and it provides good coverage for the pond.Quality & DurabilityThe material feels like decent quality, and so far, it’s doing its job well. It’s lightweight but sturdy enough to stay in place, even in breezy conditions. That said, the real test will be how well it holds up over time.Final Thoughts✅ Easy to install✅ Good coverage & protection✅ Seems durable, but long-term durability is TBDA reliable pond cover that’s working well so far—hopefully, it stands the test of time!

I ordered this net and.. it’s a net. The only way I can truly test how well it holds up is to set it up in spring when I get my pond up and running.I think it’ll do the main goal of keeping the leaves out perfectly in the fall. It looks to be super durable although a raccoon could fit its nose through the holes. It comes with stakes to anchor in the dirt, makes it super simple to remove and put back. Make sure the net is far enough away from the surface to ensure herons don’t get at your fish.I think this netting is super valuable for the amount. It covers a large portion of space and if you have a pond, you should be covering it with some sort of protection.Update on further use.

I love this net. It's a nice, big size (I'm using in the garden over the blueberries). It comes with zip ties (to fasten to the poles) and stakes. I love the plastic netting because it's reusable- you can take it off without it being a tangled mess and use it again the next year. I also LOVE that this type of netting doesn't get tangled about little bird feet and wings; I'm all about keeping the birds out, but I don't want them harmed. Great deal, recommend.

The product pictures shown in the product page is misleading (a picture over the pond). I thought the mesh was too big because of that picture, but actually it was not. This net has ~0.5" mesh, and it was actually quite small. I need this net to put over my small pond, and it is enough to block big leaves (probably not working for small leaves though).I am also planning to use it for my tree to block the squirrels. Probably this year finally I can get some intact fruit from my trees.

I use the netting as bird netting over the outdoor run of my chicken coop. I have had multiple hawk attacks recently, and this was an easy and simple solution to that problem. I used the provided zip ties and I have not lost a single chicken to any hawks since putting this up.

While our Koi pond is not "big", we have had several devastating experiences with blue herons and had laid livestock fencing panels over the pond. Fencing kept the herons out, but not racoons or leaves and although galvanized eventually started to rust. We were looking for netting that might be more attractive. The product arrives neatly packed in a plain box with a few pegs, a few small white zip ties, and no instructions. The net is tightly rolled lengthwise. No defects in the netting were found during unpacking. I rolled out the net to a length about 2 feet longer than the pond and was able to cut it off with heavy duty scissors. The netting unfolded easily and I arranged it using rocks. The netting is relatively "thin" and seemingly lightweight and it wasn't clear that the small stakes the net comes with would hold it in place. I gathered the extra netting into a bundle and pushed the provided stakes through the bundle. As I worked around the pond, I pulled the netting tight and staked every 1.5 feet. How well that works remains to be seen. This arrangement (using rocks and stakes) didn't use any of the zip ties. Bottomline, we think the netting looks better than the rusty fencing we had. The netting grid size is large enough for the koi to be fed without removing the netting. We wish the netting came with more black plastic stakes. The stakes are short and while the button heads are nearly an inch in diameter, it "looks" like the netting could be pulled off the stake. Wider heads and more stakes seem needed. The netting does keep most of the blowing leaves out of the pond. We have not observed any animals attempt to cross the netting yet. Another question is whether it will hold up in snowfall and freezing rain? Herons are a year-round problem in our area, so we hope the net is a year-round solution.
