I am a mechanic so assembly and installation was easy. This thing feels sturdy as is but I've considered welding it solid in a few places and adding a couple more bars in the lower part to semi wrap the front bumper. I did watch a YouTube video about a similar black horse brush guard installation and it was almost exactly the same. Took about 30 minutes to put together and assemble then about an hour to install onto my sprinter. I used wood blocks to hold it into position to mark the 2 holes you have to drill and then to hold it into place for installation. Also, I had to use a couple of big prybars and vice grips to shift it just right for final bolt up. This thing is worth every penny plus more for how good it looks
