Your cart is empty.Kwikee Automatic Electric Single Step. Kwikee 12-volt automatic steps are designed to take the work out of entering or exiting from recreational vehicles. Just open the door, the step goes down and locks; close the door, the step goes up and locks. An automatic safety stops the extension or retraction if the step meets resistance. The engine does not have to be running to activate the step. When in the down position, the platform is lighted, and the long-lasting anti-skid top provides for maximum safety. The power switch allows the step to be locked in either the open or closed position, whether the door is open or closed. Automatically retracts when the ignition is turned on. Step features rugged, welded steel construction with sealed electronic control. Easy to install, for simple, trouble-free operation. Durable powder coated finish. This series has been re-designed to increase performance, reliability, and longevity of step operation. Not near the same Quality as the original. Same series and everything even had to be modified to mount to the factory mounts. Other wise it operates as expected.

steps installed in place of original Kwikee steps that became bent enough to replace. Everything was plug compatible and actually they look slightly thicker metal than the original. The ONLY problem I had was that the mounting holes were well off from where the old steps that LOOK to be the same, but I marked the new ones then drilled holes in the new ones and bolted the steps up, plugged in the cable and it was operational.The old steps were the same model Kwikee but probably at least 10 years older. But, it's nice to have good functional steps for the RV again.

The motor housing was broken upon arival and would have cost $60.00 dollars to replace i therefire, I returned it for a full refund.

I bought two of these for a UV lift wheelchair van. Without them, I could barely get into the van, and even if I managed, I could easily have fallen. We took these steps to a local mechanic. He had to alter the wiring a bit because these are wired for an RV, made to open only with the driver door. We needed each to work individually, one opening with the driver door and one with the passenger door. So far, we are extremely pleased with their performance and the mechanic's work. These steps are sturdy enough to feel firm under a hefty individual. They operate as they should, opening out immediately, and then tucking away under the van when the door is closed. Very happy and would recommend this step to a friend in need.

The step on my motorhome was damaged when I hit a stump. The metal was bend beyond repair. It was great to get this replacement within two days and it installed with very little trouble - even though the original step was nine years old. Good workmanship...good instructions.

Adding an electric step seemed frivolous, so I resisted for years. Now that I added it on, I kick myself for not having done it years ago. It is not the easiest job but not imposible for the do-it-yourselfer. I had to add extra steel to make the mount work as the new step was slightly different in size. The kit does not come with wire or the four fuse holders that you will need, but I found the installation diagrams to be user friendly. I would recommend this product and would not hesitate to buy it again.
