The Gas-a-Just is available as an OE monotube replacement and as an OE twin-tube performance upgrade. The KYB Gas-a-Just has two separate working chambers: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness & control, and a second high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that provides a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds instant performance on demand.

2008 GMC Acadia awd:These are a great choice if your looking to replace worn out stock shock absorbers and would like a bit of a stiffened rear suspension v/s the stock very soft feeling suspension. I am happy with my choice and will choose the same when the time comes.

I installed the rear KYB Gas-a-just shocks on a 2011 GMC Acadia. The Acadia had 75,500 miles and also just got a new set of tires. Before the new tires and shocks, there was quite a bit of noise and sometimes a little stutter skip to the side on some rough sections of pavement from the rear end.Out of the box the KYB shocks feel very firm and are actually difficult to compress. After installing on the Acadia, the vehicle feels so much better. There is a slight firmness to the ride, but it is just right. I would say the ride and handling is significantly improved. This is a definite upgrade.Attached is a picture of one of the shocks and the actual vehicle.
