The Gas-a-Just is available as an OE monotube replacement and as an OE twin-tube performance upgrade. The KYB Gas-a-Just has two separate working chambers: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness & control, and a second high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that provides a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds instant performance on demand.

These improved my van's handling. Very pleased with the results.

Don't know how ancient the rear shocks on my '07 Chrysler T&C were, but the ride was noisy, had one knock I couldn't locate so figured it must be a shock. Handling and cornering SEEMED ok, but after installing these shocks, I'm amazed at the difference. Smooth ride even over bumpy asphalt, no noise from anywhere in the rear of the van, good solid cornering feel. I'd considered just grabbing some OE or economy shocks, but got these instead. And I'm glad I did!

Since the Nivomat design shocks use longer bolts on top I just swapped the long top bolt for the bottom bolt. Rides great and saved me several hundred dollars in the process.

Way better than the Monroe load adjusting shocks I installed about 4 years ago. the monroe's had a terrible rattle from day one on install, very noisy and loud, not great ride. These KYB on the other make it feel like a new car. Easy to install with decent tools, although the bolts can be prone to being seized, access if easy with a good jack and jack stands. they fit perfectly in my 06 Chrysler T&C.

These shocks were a perfect fit for my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. After doing some research, the KYB shocks seemed to have the best reputation. The suspension seems much better now. The ride is firm but smooth. Installation was very straight forward and I didn't even have to take off the rear wheels.

Replaced original shocks on rear of 2005 Grand Caravan with 60,000 miles on it. The KYBs were perfect fit and have made a big improvement in ride quality as well as helped the overall handling a bit. Recommend these if you are replacing rear shocks in your Dodge minivan.

The reviews we read were right, they provide excellent control and a very good ride. Helped eliminate the side-to-side wallow we had with the original shocks. Highly recommended!

I installed two of these and two KYB Strut Plus Complete Assemblies in my Caravan. These Gas-a-Just shocks are fine. My problem is with the shoddy quality of the KYB strut assemblies. Because of the Experience I've had with the struts, and the lack of concern I've received from KYB customer service. I'm never going to buy from KYB again. But these shocks were fine, improved the ride and everything as advertised. But for my money I'm going to be buying another brand the next time.

I installed these with a set of quick-struts six months ago to replace my worn out set. I have purchased KYB before and was happy. These do not sit right and have noticeably increased the rear ride height beyond what I find acceptable. In fact to compensate for the nose down attitude I had to adjust the headlights upwards so they would point beyond the area 20' in front of the van. The ride is not firm enough either. I keep hoping the shocks will "adjust" to a normal ride height, but so far the best I can say is they work well with several passengers or if I am transporting heavy items in the "trunk" area.

Arrived very quickly.I have installed KYB's on many cars/trucks, and I like their durability and function. They dampen the suspension well without being harsh like the koni's on my race car. A little more stiff than OEM, but I think - just right. Very similar in feel to the Bilsteins I recently put on my truck (twice the price of the KYBs, but I'll have the truck long after the van has been replaced).Very quick and easy install on Dodge Caravan. Fronts (when I replace them) will be harder (struts), but I will buy KYBs for there too.

This was a rear shock replacement for a 2006 Chrysler T&C. My previous shock was so worn that it was compressible with a single push and then the recoil would take 30 seconds. At this point, my vehicle only had approximately 40k miles and this is way before the 50k replacement recommended by the manufacturer. Granted, this vehicle is consistently carrying 5 people and have taken cross country trips fully loaded so it is understandable that the shock would wear quicker. The installation of the shock was pretty straight forward and the packaging was good. Post installation, a test drive showed that the replacement was much needed. I have not used other shocks from Monroe or Gabriel so I cannot speak about them. As far as the KYBs are concerned, they were stiffer than the stocks but not too stiff that it makes the ride uncomfortable. In terms of handling differences, I did not notice much of a change but honestly, we're driving around in a 2 1/2 ton car, its not going to handle too well. My parents enjoyed the KYBs but personally, I would have preferred slightly stiffer shocks.Overall, this is a great replacement part at a good price. I would recommend them.
