The Gas-a-Just is available as an OE monotube replacement and as an OE twin-tube performance upgrade. The KYB Gas-a-Just has two separate working chambers: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness & control, and a second high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that provides a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds instant performance on demand.

Great ride quality, I didn't realize how bad my old shocks were until I changed them out, really tightens up the steering on the old truck.

I have a 93 Chevy 2500 xtra cap long bed. For me it was an easy installation. Truck feels great.

Really disappointed shock manufactures think they can get away with a design that doesn't incorporate a boot to protect the rod. My understanding is they rationalize this by touting the coil spring offers some protection to the shock rod. Upon removing the old shocks, (which lasted for years) it's clear the metal housing on the old shocks which protected the rod took a beating. Now I figure the rod on the new shocks will bear the brunt of flying rocks, dust and debris flying around. I guess they figure they'll sell more shocks due to premature failure of their shocks. Sorry I bought these, I'll never buy a shock again that doesn't incorporate a boot to protect the rod. In the meantime I'm looking at an aftermarket boot... I shouldn't need to do this to a product that was properly designed. Rubber boots fail, and I imagine it'll be something I'll be fighting with down the road. This will be the last KYB I'll ever buy!
