Rides like a Cadillac . After having all 4 shocks blown this is great. The autozone spring compressors did not work for me . Had to take it to a shop

I purchased the kyb kit five years ago. Within a year the front struts gave out. The passanger side was the worst and sounded like it was bottoming out. I also suggest if you plan on doing a diy to purchase the whole assembly. Compressing the springs was a little nerve racking and plan next time to purchase them already assembled next time.

The ride seems slightly improved and solid.I wish I had ordered front struts with new springs already mounted on them. My installation costs were significantly higher since my mechanic had to transfer the old springs, it would have been less expensive to order struts with the springs.

Easy to install and made my ride smoother. I imagine I’ll be doing the work again soon though. The same manufacturer as the OEM parts but very cheap replacements.

I am extremely happy with this purchase. They fit perfectly in my 2007 Honda Pilot EX-L. If you're going to install these yourself, keep in mind that this is defenitely a 2 person job. My father-in-law and I spent almost the whole day installing all four. The rear ones are extremely easy, and I changed them myself. The front struts, that is a different story. You will need help removing these from the Pilot for sure. YouTube it and watch closely how the springs are supposed to be compressed. Also, make sure you have good compressors for this job.My number 1 piece of advice is... Buy the KYB Strut Mount Kits (SM5211? I think) along with this. Do NOT question it. Just buy them. I am so glad I did. When I removed the springs using the compressor for the front left strut, the freaking strut mount broke (see pic). The other strut mount didn't break but it was badly worn out. Save yourself a headache and buy the 2 strut mount kits while you're at it.After this job, I paid for a wheel alignment and voilá! The Pilot felt like new.

Purchased this Strut and Shock package for my Honda Pilot. The installation was fairly straight forward. The front struts seem to be fine...but ever since installing the shocks have been hearing noises from the wheel wells. Took it to shop to have all shocks/torque points checked out. No visible signs of failure and all fasteners were at spec. Shop indicated noise from shocks.

Installed relatively easy. I had a wheel shop transfer the springs from the old shocks to the new ones for $60 and re-align the truck for $80. So all in all, I have less than $350 in a complete shock and strut replacement compared to the $900 the wheel shop wanted. This job can be completed with less than 10 garage tools.

These rear shocks and front struts are great - exacly what is needed to make your Pilot feel like new. The rear shocks are very easy to replace, two bolts hold them in and it takes longer to jack up the rear and pull of the tire than to change the shocks. The Front is a little more difficult but not harder than a full brake job. If you can change out a rotor then you can change a strut. My only problem was trying to switch out the springs - these springs are hug and a normal set of spring compressors did not work. I took the old set and new struts down to my local midas dealer and they switch them in an hour for a $100 - all in all it cost me about $450 sure beats the $800/$1000 they wanted at the tire store/dealer. Also replaced the front top bearing and boots - boots were shot but bearings were fine.
