Excellent strings for gypsy guitar. The loops on the 1st and 2nd strings were a little too small, but untwisting a turn or two remedied that. The strings have a soft feel and are not too squeaky under my left hand, although not as quiet as flatwounds. The strings also reach tuning equilibrium quickly without a lot of stretching time. The 10-50 size seems to work well on my 26" scale.

Got these to try as an experiment on an acoustic archtop. Worked exactly as I hoped. Very pleased.

I really like these strings. I think I like DR RARE better, but these are a very close second. I highly recommend these strings for beginners. They are softer on the fingertips than your average phosphor bronze or 80/20's. I find it curious that while DR RARE reviews include a brightness rating, the brightness rating is entirely absent here. Concerning brightness - there is not bright with these strings. And for some of us, that's a very good thing. Sounds very good downtuned as well. Sounds good through an acoustic amp.

I won't buy again. I found these split the wound sleeve very quickly in many placed and showed the copper core. The sound dulled rapidly and I have taken them off after a few weeks and put on Tomastiks. Disappointing.

Really good quality strings, I got them for an old Junkshop find I had renovated and didn’t want to use steel strings because of the extra tension, they sound amazing and have complimented my 1970 Dove copy very well.

Nice sound but very scratchy, also the B and E strings had small rust spots.

These strings provide a bit more bass, if you will, as compared to the Savarez Argetines that I normally use. The La Bella's are not quite as bright or bell like in tone as the Argentines, as this may be the reason the lower frequency fundamentals can be heard on the wound La Bella strings. As advertized, the voicing or the volume and tone of these strings are balanced compared to the Argentines that have an enemic low frequency fundamental on the 6th string. The Argentines seem to impart a smidge more volume and clarity but if you want to warm up the tone of your instrument, try these strings out.
