I'm overall quite pleased with the product. I would have preferred a larger column with more chambers, but this was the only option I could find that was under $1000. Even with only three chambers though, it still provides a lot of interaction in each bubbling chamber and prolongs the distillates time in the column. If I get a chance, I will add a thermal image to the review.Above all, the best part about this was the shipping. This is the first piece of glass with weakly supported interiors that I have received, shipped intelligently. They actually slid a piece of cardboard all the way through, so the "balls" were stuck open. And then they filled it with sugar!!! I have had so many pieces broken in shipping because the interior was unsupported. You can put on as much bubble wrap as you want, surround it in six feet of the softest foam, none of it matters if there are delicate parts inside without sufficient support. In cases of breakage, I will usually get my money back, or get another piece sent that hopefully makes it through, but companies never seem to take my advice to fill them with something. I have to say though that I didn't think of sugar. That is probably the best option. It has very small, smooth grains, and is water soluble. And cheap.
