Using high strength steel material as base, CNC high precision cutting, after processing, heat treatment will greatly improve the strength. The surface treatment is done at the same time, improving surface hardness and corrosion resistance. Only the outer teeth of the sector gear are made of sintered steel, which is often machined and has been selected to be stronger in consideration of overall damage during breakage. The bevel and spur are also integrated with the shaft, making it a model with greater strength and precision.

I don't know for what kind of "build" these are intended, but I paired them with J-Caged bearings in a Retro Arms CNC SAW gearbox (all version 2 parts just arranged differently). They were spun up by a lower rpm brushless ADV motor (fantastic btw) and a 7.4 battery (entirely safe setup for any other mid or high ratio gear setup). Within 100 cycles the gears had exploded. The biggest intact chunk of any gear was a quarter inch wide, and oddly enough that was part of the spur gear. My guess is they were very poorly heat treated. My gut told me not to do it because I know Lancer tactical is garbage, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway because the bearing shaft sounded like a neat concept. For what it's worth, the Retro Arms gearbox held up to all of the shrapnel no problem, as did the pinion gear on the ADV motor; you can't even tell a grenade went off inside. Too bad you can't find quality stuff like Siegetek on Amazon. 🙄 The bottom line is to stay away from these horrendous gears. If I could have given them negative stars, I would have.
