This well made little player can be used as an alarm clock or in the bathroom as a Bluetooth speaker. It's loud enough. There is a UV LED (manual says blue) and a white LED to use as a little flashlight. There is an SOS button that plays a loud police siren sound. A rechargeable 18650 battery is included and it's replaceable. The manual is written with translation problems and I did not understand a few things until I played with the buttons for a while. For example a >= button is used to scan for all stations. You have to hold the button a few seconds to activate it. The manual description doesn't make sense at all.I like the slider switch that is used for power. The pushbuttons click nicely. A button lets you choose a sleep timer setting of 10 to 60 minutes. The FM receiver has great sensitivity using the extendable antenna. You can manually search for FM stations. Or better yet, a scan button searches the entire band to populate presents with available stations, then number buttons or the > buttons let you choose one quickly. The following are things I didn't like: the volume wheel seems to be backward. When turning on and when changing modes (Bluetooth, radio, USB) a voice indicates the mode, but the volume of that is not adjustable and is pretty loud. I wrote this review at a restaurant and everyone heard "brue toof maode" in a cute Asian/British accent. The volume of that voice should be controlled with the volume wheel, but it is not. One last thing, the volume wheel adjusts from 00 to 30. With a setting of 01, the speaker is a little too loud for playing before bed.Overall I like this speaker device and will use it in the morning while I shower to listen to audio books.

This clock radio feels like it started out by spit-balling ideas that they could fit into a radio, then handed over to engineers that each went off and did their own thing. It has (too) many "features" that you will never use, little refinement of the ones you would use frequently and a lack of integration between the features. What is to like:* compact size* looks nice* battery operated (can be used plugged in while on charge)* the battery is replaceable (standard 18650 Li-ion cell)* can be used as bluetooth speaker* can play music from SD card* has a clock and alarm* the sound quality is actually pretty goodWhat isn't so good:* the voice announcements every time you do anything. They are loud and cannot be turned off.* gimmick features like the torch (LEDs are painfully weak) and the SOS that's loud, useless and far too easy to accidentally start.* FM radio auto-tuning and presets. There is no way to manually set the presets, so I am stuck with 17 stations the auto-scan found, with the 3 or 4 I will ever listen to spread among all the others. I am then stuck using forward/backward buttons to step through them, or by typing the (mostly) two-digit preset numbers. I can't believe you can't just set your own presets, so I could make them the same 5 stations we have programmed in our cars.* the SD card mode just plays all music on the card in the order it them on the card. No folders for albums, artist or genre. No control of the order. Not worth the effort.* the lack of integration between the features. The device has a clock and (single) alarm, but you can't wake up to the FM radio or music from the SD card. Instead, you get a grating noise that will wake you, your partner and the kids at the other end of the house before you can turn it off. And the only setting you get is to make that sound even louder!Unfortunately, what I was looking for in this radio was mainly the clock radio function.I already have nice bluetooth speakers, so it's not going to be used for streaming (not this device's fault - just explaining why that feature isn't useful to me).The alarm clock functions are crude to work with and the noise it makes for the alarm is simply not usable unless you live alone and enjoy an adrenaline rush as you are jerked into the new day.I would not recommend this device because I believe there would have to be devices in this price range that are far more refined. It feels like no one at the company that made this actually tried to use it before putting it into production.

The first thing I see when I look at this radio is the nice faux wood grain which is nicely done, as well as the rounded corners which give this both a modern look and classic style. The number pad looks nice, though I think it could be eliminated for a cleaner look. The radio works very well. I was able to tune in a local station as soon as I put the battery in. The Bluetooth is also easy to pair. One thing interesting that I noticed is that Bluetooth is quieter than radio. I had to turn it up a bit to hear the music on Bluetooth, but then I switched back to FM radio and it was too loud. Other than that, the sound is great. It's got a full sound that is not cheap at all. For a little radio, I think you'll be pleased with the sound quality. One annoying thing is that this radio has a voice with an accent that announces each mode change and the volume of that voice is set. If you were quietly listening to the radio and switched to Bluetooth, it will loudly announce "Bluetooth Mode." I think a quiet beep would suffice for each mode. Even when you turn it on, the voice will announce the mode it is currently in, loudly. So, if you were in a quiet house with other people, or a campsite, this might disturb them. I didn't try the USB feature because I don't have any music on USB. I did try alarm button which makes a loud alarm sound. That might come in handy. Speaking of handy, there's a small flashlight as well. It would do in a pinch, but it's not bright enough to be really useful. Still, I suppose it's a nice feature. The battery is rechargeable and replaceable, so that's a nice feature as well.Overall, this radio has a quality feel and a little heft to it.There's a wrist strap, but I could see a belt clip being useful on this as well to strap it to your belt for a hike or to attach it to a backpack strap or while camping to clip it to your tent. So, if I could redesign this, I'd lose the voice, the numberpad and add a belt clip. Still it's pretty nice as is.

I get tired of having to use my phone for everything and want to listen to music without all the distractions of my phone notifications. Also, an FM radio is good for when the power is out and gives me old school feels just listening to the radio again. This thing is so great for my needs and wants. It is compact, super portable and easy to use. At first, I thought the radio wasn't working and it took me a minute to realize I needed to turn the volume knob as it is set to 0 for radio on arrival...in case this helps someone else. I assumed since I could hear the automated prompt voice that the volume was on.It has several features besides FM radio like Bluetooth and USB hook up, clock, alarm, flashlight, SOS and more. It has great radio reception even inside my house in an area that I get crummy wifi reception. It's awesome for out on the deck as it doesn't take up a lot of space and won't blast the neighbors with my weird music tastes. The speaker is decent especially for the size. I am really happy with this and am already using it more than I thought I would. 2 thumbs up.
