The receiver plug fit correctly in my 2006 Subaru. The material is firm enough to stay in place but soft enough to accomodate irregular surfaces and not to get scratched.

So probably my bad but this fell off my truck fairly quickly - I think when I went through a carwash. It was nice...a no frills cap that did it's job of hiding the rust in the hitch itself. I wouldn't hesitate to reorder, I'd just be more cautious and probably remove it before going through the carwash.

The material seems to be of a good quality and seems like it should last a long time. The fit is extremely tight, and I wasn't able to get it to seat completely, but it also hasn't moved at all, so at least I'm not worried about losing it. I also like that you can add an emblem, or sticker if you want to spruce it up. Overall it does what it should.My Star Rating Scale:5 stars - Perfect, or as close to perfect as possible and would definitely recommend to anyone.4 stars - Works well, but could see some minor changes that could make the product better. I have a standard 2" x 2" tow hitch on my Ford Mach E and I wanted to keep the interior from sight after it gets rusty from the inserted carrier. I thought this would do the job. It is tough and I'm sure will last a long time however I found the dimensions of the inserted portion to be slightly too large. The cap doesn't fit all the way in and I suspect that if I forced it in further I wouldn't be able to get it out again.It does the job, looks OK, and if I take a knife to it might be able to trim back the ridges that stop it going in all the way.
