I've tried this mic over multiple machines and software. The result has always been that my voice in any mode is distorted and often too messed up to be understood. I cannot recommend.

I had trouble with the connectivity of this microphone to Ubuntu Linux, but it worked flawless in other distributions.Since this microphone comes with noise cancelling technology, I connected it up to my AI and homeassistant server. I can now talk to my AI from across the room, without interference from the response! Perfect. Overall, easy to use. I just wish, it would not default to the "rainbow puke" color scheme by default.

Imagine you are selling something and you have to deal with people giving your products, your livelihood, a bad review for often ridiculous reasons including: user error, general ignorance, entitlement, the inability to read descriptions and look at pictures, etc.Correct course of action: If you receive an item that doesn't work right, seek troubleshooting help and return if necessary. You will get help, or a refund or a replacement. As long as any of those three things are provided and you end up with a working product or your money back, you should not be leaving poor reviews unless otherwise warranted. Any minor inconvenience you face is the cost of the convenience you have of being able to order inexpensive stuff and have it delivered to your door very quickly. That is the reality of it. Many inexpensive items are direct from asian markets where they are produced in very large quantities. If you aren't familiar with how production works, they only test samples, not every item. The lower the cost and higher the production volume, the more likely faulty items are going to make it to market. Again, this is a price that is part of the cheap and quick convenience. The seller can't control this and should not be faulted. A reasonable person, considers this.That said, I received a working item. It works great, though as compared to a boom mic or headset mic it requires attenuation to get the same level of volume. This is expected based on the design and placement. It also pics up more background noise. This is expected for the same reason as above. The audio quality is good, but not great. This is expected based on the low price point, design and placement. Playing around with the voices is fun. I do wish there were more options, like a robotic voice (think Soundwave from Transformers). This mic is suitable for online chat and multiplayer gaming when the right combination or settings, placement and environment are taken into account. The price is ridiculously low.All in all you get a useful device that has some fun features for less than a fast food meal (12.99 at the time of listing)

This was an interesting design and I wanted to test with PS5, and it worked very seamlessly plug and play really. The quality overall is ok, and the unit works as expected. However I wasn't very impressed with voice changer, which was ok cause I wasn't very interested with that feature, but even using standard mic I was told it sounded very tinny and background noise was noticeable. This also has a speaker all in one sort of system and that to was just ok. I gave 4 stars because at this price I still see value and this would be perfectly ok for some people.

Made from thin plastic, although with a decent cord and USB-A connector, this voice modulator and microphone unit is pretty cool. It has USB, it's plug and play, works exactly as advertised and can pick your voice up from a few feet away, so the microphone's sensitivity is good as well as it's noise reduction. It sounds pretty good through a headset, and you can use your own voice or choose another! Which is always fun when playing an online game. It even has RGB to look at.If it had more voice option or a build your own mode or simply was made from thicker plastic or aluminum.However, this microphone/voice altering device, is $15.99 right now with free price shipping, so I can confidently give it 4 stars for the fun factor alone let alone the rest of the goodies!
