I bought this for a 2003 Toyota Sequoia. Very cheap price compared to others and it came with a cable. I was also replacing the broken handle at the same time. I spent a lot of time adjusting the cable holder where the insulation ends with pliers to get the right tension on the cable - too loose and the handle will not be able to engage the latch to open and door won’t unlock. Too tight and it puts a lot of pressure on the handle and the rear door won’t lock. So before you put everything back together, make sure the rear door latches/unlatches and locks/unlocks.

Installed in my 2002 Sequoia, the plastic lining the latch has to be cut off in order to latch correctly.

Direct replacement for Toyota part at a fraction of the price. Rear lift gate trim and panel needs to be removed and it’s a challenge to fish the cable and attach it to the latch. These are Sequoia design issues and not a function of the replacement part so I gave the part 5 stars. Good value and quality part.
