This is not designed for a 2006 Silverado 1500 W/rack and pinion. The two ends are not aligned properly, they're off about 45*. (that's a lot to align out..) The coupler that connects to the rack is not the same as OE and is about 1.75" to shorter, this changes the angle of the upper shaft and the angle it comes out if the fire wall.
