Every time you pick it up the legs expand. Unless that buckle thing is in place it extends. The buckle only fits when it is all the way small. On a job if you want to move the ladder over, the legs extends more! It is also too hard to make it small again and unlock the steps.I still gave it too stars since it seems durable and made well. Personally the design and function is horrible. Would never buy this again and returned the one I had.
