I was hoping to interest my grandchildren in science so I bought them a microscope. In using it, I found it difficult to center tiny objects like hair for example. I was hoping that having some interesting material under a slide would make it easier to position. I received the slides weeks after ordering and they came in a flimsy, beat-up box with the slides jumbled up inside. While having a slide did make it much easier to position in the microscope field of view, the material was disappointing. For example, the 'bee' slide had just a small piece of material that had no features. They must be making 1000 slides out of one bee. The other slides were similarly unrecognizable and uninteresting. I'm keeping the slides to use with my own samples that are more interesting and have features
