I live in a small ranch house . I do own a fancy 1400$ washer and dryer that broke right after warranty . I repaired more than once and decided I’m done . It’s just me here and it’s a waste of money. I hang dry most of my items as is and mainly wanted this for my knit items , towels and sheets . I have a small dog and It does great at removing his hair from my clothes. I’m really impressed with it . I purchased an inside vent kit at my local ace hardware. Yes, it takes longer and I still will have to take my comforter to laundromat . But it’s convenient and I no longer have stiff towels and sheets , and no more dog hair from air drying. I’m no longer lugging my clothes to laundromat or boyfriends house when things pile up and I don’t want clothes and towels hanging all over my house for 2 days . I also purchased a small portable washer that does a great job at spinning the water out , leaving items damp dry , and speeding up the time for the dryer . I keep it in my closet in my spare bedroom , perfect fit. I did dry a load of clothes in 40 mins using high setting . It had 4 pairs of xl womens athletic leggings (which are very light) , 2 light sweaters and socks and underwear. I can dry two large fluffy towels in one load. This is perfect for one person .

I live alone in an apartment without a 220 line and I'm not about to use the disgusting laundry room thanks to a few gross tenants. I have a full size washing machine already and was researching a mini 110 volt clothes dryer for about a year before committing to my Magic Chef unit. I've been so happy with this little dryer I'm telling people at work about it. I'm amazed that it gets warm enough to produce steam within 10 minutes when I vent it out the window on a cold day. I was always under the impression that these 110 units don't get warm enough and it takes forever to dry a load of clothes. I cut a hole in a 9" wide pine board, painted the board white and trimmed the length so I'd be able to wedge it in the track of my sliding window top to bottom. After attaching one of those louvered vents through the board with four screws and attaching the foil vent hose to the other side with a hose clamp I was in business. I did a load of about 30 white socks and they dried in about 40 minutes on the high setting. I normally hang dry my clothes and they dry in no time but on occasion I would need something dried quickly and it's great to know I now have that option . I prefer my socks, underwear and bath towels to be machine dried, anyway. I initially thought I should have purchased a larger unit until I realized I really don't have the space for it. Right now I have the dryer under a table in the living room. I had to unscrew the feet so the dryer fit under the table but it really works. The dryer is level and whisper quiet. Cleaning the lint filters is easy but I wish they would have skipped the fabric filter and just gone with two nylon screens. I avoid using fabric softener sheets as the manual states not to. Liquid fabric softener in the wash is fine. Some folks complain that clothes come out wrinkled. You have to remember the drum size on this thing is tiny so clothes don't tumble around like they would in a much larger drum. Mine don't seem to come out wrinkled. Maybe I don't put in as many articles of clothing per load like those folks. Anyway, this has to be one of the best purchases I've made in a while. I'm delighted at how well this Magic Chef Mini Clothes Dryer works. Oh yeah, I would have preferred a clear window instead of tinted window so I can see my clothes tumbling around. Maybe Magic Chef will offer that upgrade since the window just screws on. Otherwise, a great product!

What can I say? It does what it's designed to do and does it well considering it's size. It's quite the power saver using only a maximum of 850 watts which is less than the average hair dryer. It does have a high and low heat setting and according to my kill-a-watt, the low setting runs at about 500 watts. It does take a little longer than your average sized dryer but for those of us who don't have hookups or need something small due to space availability, it's an excellent choice. It's definitely not big enough for more than a few shirts, couple towels/jeans, etc but it's a lot better than stringing lines around your house to hang dry clothing or having to rely on communal laundry equipment. It's definitely a quiet unit and compliments the 0.9 cu.ft. Magic Chef washer I bought to go along with it quite nicely. The capacity of both units is close enough that a full load in the wash easily fits in this dryer. It's not speedy by any means, but the average load seems to dry within about 60-70 minutes if I start the timer at 200 minutes which is in the range of it's hottest setting. It fits the set of flannel sheets from my full size bed, and I would assume it would fit at least one sheet for a queen size if not both. The product description does omit that it includes a 3"-4" adapter which I purchased separately and didn't need. This adapter allows you to connect a standard 4" dryer hose directly to the unit which has a 3" exhaust opening. All in all, it's a great product that fits in the limited space I had available and now I can avoid having to worry about having quarters for laundry or having to wait for an available machine. One thing to note is that this dryer does not have an end of cycle buzzer which for me is a great feature since I live in a studio apartment and the location I had available is against a shared wall with another tenant. Without laundry hookups I didn't want to bring attention to the fact that I have it.The box I received the dryer in is a plain box with only the model printed on the front and rear, the box dimensions and weight. Inside the box there is another box for the dryer which does have both the model number which is the same printed on the exterior box as well as an outline imagine of the dryer and states "Compact Dryer". This made it very easy to bring in without bringing attention to what I actually had.All in all this is a great unit that seems to work well.
