Update- called ici and sent the pics in. Diana in returns sent a replacement for the passenger side immediately. Any American made product with great customer Service gets 5 stars from me. Plus, they look great and if you mount them correctly, they are very sturdy!got the drop steps today. immediately checked the contents to verify the condition was good. everything was packaged and looked amazing. as others have said, there are a lot of nuts and bolts to this product vs a direct bolt on. no worries, I watched the video on youtube as I installed and bypassed the instructions completely. I got the drivers side completely on and was happy with the look and feel. I moved to the passenger side and quickly put all the supports on because I knew what I needed an how to install. everything is perfect until I realize that they shipped 2 drivers side steps. unbelievable! I verified the drivers side was correct because there is an indent in the front for fender flares. the passenger side had the indent on the rear and the middle support bracket is way off and there is no way to attach the middle. I finished the install because I was too far in at that point and I am not driving with one board on. contacted ici immediately and waiting to see what they will do. if they handle It correctly, I will give this 4-5 stars. 4 because they are a pain to install. they should make them direct bolt on and it would take 20 minutes max to install. im good with tools and installs and this still took 2 1/2 hours by myself to install. 5 stars because they look badass and seem very sturdy.

2014 RAM 1500: I caught them on sale thru Amazon and saved about $70 from Real Truck. Did the work in an afternoon approx 3 hrs. Instructions were poor but after a couple of You-tube vids and a little careful preparation and execution, it went together fine. Mounting the brackets was easy solo, mounting the bar to the brackets was challenging by myself. I recommend a buddy for that part. Using a cookie sheet to keep all the parts laid out and accessible as I moved back and forth was paramount to completing the job. There were just enough nuts, So DONT LOSE ANY! Use a deep socket! You'll need a box wrench too and some patient finagling to tighten the rail to the brackets once everything is loose mounted as the access points are narrow on the rail itself. 1st one was slow, 2nd went quicker. They look great, tight to the rocker panel and more aggressive look than the usual same old chrome and plastic nerf bars you see on the road. This set up is rugged and strong as hell. The construction and welds are built to last. Im really happy with them.

Edit 9-5-17I am not happy with these steps. The paint has faded to a light gray color and the paint is chipping badly, therefore the steps are rusting. I installed the protective cover as instructed on the front steps, but the rear step is unprotected so road debris hits it and knocks off the paint. The steps have been on my truck for about 9 months and they look terrible!Like the other reviews stated, installation is challenging. It's not hard, it's just that there are A LOT of nuts, bolts, washers, and brackets. My truck is a 2016 Crew Cab Tradesman Ecodiesel. My truck did have the factory rivnuts in the rockers. Whether you have them or not, there will be parts in the kit that you do not use. On the newer trucks, there is a bracket on the drivers side that must be removed (the instructions do show this). My advice is to sort all the nuts, bolts, and washers before getting started. I didn't watch any videos. I just went slow and kinda felt my way through it. After you bolt the brackets to the truck (3 on each side), you will need an extra hand to hold the steps up so you can get the bolts started.I took my time, and BS'ed and had several beers during the installation and it took me about 4 hours to get it done. Also, you will need a torque wrench to torque the mounting brackets properly. The steps seem sturdy, but they do flex a tiny bit when I step on them. I weigh about 225 pounds. The quality of the product seems very good, and the kit was complete. The included hardware seems very good too. If I have any problems with these, I will update my review.

I gave these 3 stars for the following reasons. FIRST, the triple t bolt. When I torqued the first nut on the first one I tightened the bolt snapped. I was able to tighten the bolts on the bottom of the triple t-bolts to spec. I did not tighten the rest of the top nuts on the triple t-bolts for fear of snapping another one. I was able to get them to around 20lbs before I stopped because they just felt like they were going to give. SECOND, the installation instructions are not very clear on what parts to use and omit. Kind of have to figure it out on your own. THIRD, Fitment is a little off from one side to the other. Driver side fits pretty good. Passenger side hits (and pushes out) the front factory fender flare. I also did not like the fact that the bolts through the holes in the pinch welds on the rocker are so visible. FOURTH, there were some cosmetic issues that were not caused by shipping. One was a pretty visible gouge and the other was a spot that looks like it was caused by being rubbed against something. They do flex a little when I step on them but seem pretty sturdy and look pretty good on the truck.I will post photos when I get time.

Good looking steps. They work pretty well, they flex a little but there not going anywhere. They are heavy steps, I couldn't pick the box up by myself and carry it out to my shop. Install was a little bit of a pain, there's 42 bolts to install so it takes a while. First side took a couple of hours, next side was about an hour once I figured it out. Getting in is fine, getting out is not like regular nerf bars with a wide area to step on. These you have to watch your foot placement on your way out. I've only had them on for a week or so and I'm getting used to them. They are a good looking step, they look custom made and not like everything else you see.
