I use gasket sealer on both sides but doesn't leak. Good gasket fits the 10 hole. Got it on a RWD 98 silverado

I installed this about 2 weeks ago and the process was painless and easy. I would strongly recommend getting this gasket over the paper gasket. The paper gasket was a mess getting off including the gasket maker. Save yourself the trouble, and get this gasket. You won't be disappointed.

Fits my 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am differential just fine. Probably the best diff seal I've ever bought, since it has cork on both sides and a metal lining inside. I tightened the cover plate to 10 ft-lbs and had no leaks. It did have an odd symbol on the package which seems to show that amateur installation isn't recommended, but I had no issues. Fitment is perfect. Performs better than the stock OEM paper gasket that leaks as soon as it touches gear oil and gets saturated.
