I have a nice tripod but there are a lot of situations where I don't want to lug it around. This monopod doubles as a hiking pole. Monopods aren't as stable as tripods but they are more mobile and better than just trying to stabilize with your hand. Monopod looks and feels great. It is as easy to adjust as a hiking pole and easier than a tripod. Manfrotto is one of the best brands you can get. There are also a lot of after market parts that are compatible with Manfrotto tripods and monopods since it is such a well known brand.

My wife and I are a husband and wife photography team and we use monopods to hold a flash for portraits. We've used the Manfrotto Element for years and years, but lost it this past month. I was bummed to find out that the original Manfrotto Element had been discontinued and they came out with the MII. Unfortunately, it is built cheaper. It flexes too much under load. I just seems flimsy compared to the old one. I was able to find some deadstock of the original and ordered it for slightly more money instead.

I dont feel its up to manfrotto quality. The twists dont hold real tight. Any pressure and they scoot back up. It works in a pinch, but ill stick with my older heavy duty manfrotto monoUpdate: totally fell apart. Do not buy. Lasted less than a yr

Really enjoyed using this monopod! I had an action camera setup mounted for a very “run-and-gun” style shooting. This monopod held up without issues on a 10 day Israel trip. The only thing was that sometimes the pole got pretty hot from the sun and sticked just a little when extending. But dealing with temps into the 100s I expected that. Overall, very good monopod, that I would use again (and I will because mine is still in great condition!)

I can't get my monopod to convert to smaller screw mount. I've contacted seller and manufacturer without replies from either. DON'T BUY.

This is by far the most disappointing item I have purchased on Amazon. I know Manfrotto is supposed to be one of the leading brands in tripods and I hope it may be that the particular one I received was simply defective because it is absolute garbage! None of the points that extend would extend, I had to use all my strength to extend them and the bottom one just completely fell off and now won’t go back in. I just received it this morning and within 30 minutes it’s useless. Worst purchased I have made!

I was about to return this item when I couldn't unscrew the top to change the caliber of bolt on top , then I realized that it is spring loaded and retracts to a smaller caliber just by pressing on it .This is a very rugged monopod, I do a lot of hiking and outdoor photography so I was looking for a monopod/hiking stick . I love the sturdiness of it and the rubber grip , but this one does not have a spike foot attachment like the other manfrotto puts out . 😪 honestly if they combined the 2 this would be an amazing monopod/hiking stick .
