If you're thinking about it, go for it. I don't shred a lot of meat but I do cook a lot. These were perfect for removing our Easter ham from the dish it was cooked from and transferring it to the plate to be sliced. I really liked how I didn't have to worry about it slipping or burning my fingers and they're really easy to clean.

Since I have these claws it has never been so easy to make ropa vieja and any type of meat is easy with this piece.

Have used these to pick up a 10lb spiral ham and to shred chicken breasts. They are very helpful and effective. These are going to get a lot of use in this house! Great little gift for your favorite griller - and at a great price.

These make shredding meat a simple task. Forks Just don't work when trying to shred a large amount of meat. Easy to clean and are comfortable. Well made and worth the money.
