Normally on a check valve you can blow air through it one way but not the other. I could not blow air either way with the valve but tried it anyway. It cured my problem of continuous running of flush water from the reverse osmosis system. Now when the system is full, the flush water is shut off. Limits waste of good water.

This product, or the two packages of 6 pieces I bought were ALL defective. In the forward (non-blocked position) they leaked, *did not flow*. Essentially installing these anywhere, water or gas is like installing a block for any direction of flow. I replace these with the TalonZ product and they worked perfectly. When I first opened the package I tried blowing through them and couldn't in either direction...I assumed the crack pressure was too high for me to crack, which is stupid of me since 0.3 psi should be easy to push. But I really needed them installed so I thought hey, I have 9-14 psi pushing in the system so they will have no problem cracking these open and getting gas flow. *NO*. 2 packages, all pieces, 100% defective. These things are crap and I wasted a BUNCH of time on them, including writing this review. I am reviewing it to help you, and hopefully get Amazon to stop selling this crap. Bad batch? Two packs of 100% defective parts? Well if this is a fluke watch out because the least you can conclude is this company has horrific quality control. But truthfully these couldn't be easier to test. Good lord.Don't waste your time.
