This waist twister exercise machine is really attractive and helps with balance and coordination. If I just stand to use it I don’t feel any of my muscles anywhere contracting. If I stand and squat slightly I can feel good muscle contraction in my quadriceps and hamstrings but nothing at all in my waistline (obliques,abs etc) I am not sure what the handles are supposed to do at all, they didn’t add anything to the workout whatsoever. It is quite easy to set up, just hand tighten a knob and clip the handles on. I put it next to a wall to step onto so I could maintain my balance by placing a hand on the wall to steady myself. After a short amount of time, my balance and coordination has improved. It may be too early to tell as for as muscle toning, especially my waist. At the time of ordering the list price is $89 and since then I have seen what looks to be very comparable at half the cost elsewhere. 3 stars

Item: MERACH Waist twister, Ab Machine with 300 lbs Weight Capacity, Abs Workout for Slim Waist and Core Ab ExerciseThe waist twister is easy to setup and supports my weight without issue so the construction seems sound, The knob secures everything in place and does not change the resistance which is purely from the built in resistance bands. The platform swings smoothly throughout its full arc when twisting.I do at minimum, 2 sets of 50 daily with back straight while using the handles. I put some effort into the twist to get the full range of motion at a rapid pace and I do feel a difference. As time progresses, we'll see how well it actually benefits, but so far, I'm happy with it.

Update: The seller reached out right away and sent the missing handles. The machine works great and the customer service was wonderful. y wife is very happyMy wife was so excited about getting this and it arrived quickly. The machine is really nice and moves smoothly. It looks great and takes up little space. The only issue was it did not have the exercise handles. Luckily we may have something to use and it can be used without them, it was just disappointing.

This is functional but not intensive. It gets me moving but I don't break a sweat nor do my abs feel sore the next day. If you have any kind of core muscle this will likely be too easy because you can't increase the difficulty level. The resistance bands are too long, I am 5 foot 5. The instructions say to adjust them but with no instructions on how to.I opted to use my weights instead and that made the workout more difficult. For the pricepoint I would have hoped for more. If you're just getting into workouts and want something to get you moving, this is a good start. If you already have workout equipment, you can probably get a better core workout done without it.I will be continuing to use it and will come back with an update if anything changes

This smaller waist twister and ab machine is perfect for me to have in my office at work. It's small enough that I can slide it under my desk when it's not in use. It comes assembled and you only need to add one piece that screws in and add the clip on ropes. The non-slip grip on the pedals is excellent and prevents your feet from sliding. I can feel the burn in my abs while I'm using it. I am enjoying it.
