Overall a pretty decent tool with a couple minor flaws. The body is made from aluminum and feels sturdy enough for medium duty work but I wouldn’t want to attempt to use this on something that vibrates a lot since all the swivel tension comes from a plastic bushing. Also, the 3 different color lights DO NOT go down the entire strip of lights and each color just has their own segment so you won’t be able to make the entire thing illuminate a single color. Next, the “buzzer” is just a basic BEEP module hooked up to a speaker that is not loud enough to use in an area with lots of background noise and be noticed easily but if it’s in a quiet room (like my 3D printing lab) then it will be noticeable by anyone around. Finally, there is NOt a Speer mounting plate that comes with the light and you just run fasteners through the 4 holes on the base. There is not a notch for the wiring so you will need to make sure you acknowledge that fact and plan accordingly when going to mount it.I am using this light for something a bit different than its intended use. I hooked it up to a 3D printer and after a bit of coding and an arduino, I was able to make it light up green when a print is done, yellow when the printer detects anomalies and res when a print fails.Overall, this is a good enough light (especially at its low cost) if you use it in the right application. However, there is not any documentation that comes with the light so you most likely wouldn’t want to use it on anything critical in an industrial setting but I wouldn’t mind using them for small home projects or other use cases where you’re not in an industrial environment.

I saw this light and ordered it because of the metal construction. The build quality on this light is better than I could have expected or imagined. The entire housing and base/mount are solid polished aluminum. Not only does it look fantastic, but it also looks and FEELS industrial. Instead of a typical toothed plastic pair of rotating plates with a screw and a nut for angle adjustment, this light has a solid metal ball in a socket, making it strong and fully adjustable. It's not a small ball and socket either, it's stout! This light will not only look great on my CNC machine, but it will hold up to the dusty environment, constant movement and vibration from the CNC machine, and occasional impacts from things like vacuum hoses.The lens is a single piece of crystal-clear PC. The LEDs themselves provide the green, yellow, and red colors. The LEDs are quite bright and visible, but not so bright that they light up or dominate the room. I personally really like the clear lens design over colored lenses. It's classy, modern, industrial, and functional.The buzzer is not meant to be a pain generator. The buzzer is meant to get your attention, and it does that very well in my shop. It is a unique sound, and it stands out from all of the other sounds in my shop, especially the CNC machine. If the buzzer goes off, I'm going to notice it. If your work environment is especially loud, or especially large and you are a considerable distance away, you may not hear it.Wiring is super easy. Black is for ground, Orange is for sending power to the buzzer, and the green, yellow, and red wires are for sending power to each color respectively. I tested it on a 60-watt 24v LED driver (power supply.) I am going to use 24v outputs on my CNC controller to trigger the colors at different events. If the machine is on but not running, I'll send power to the green wire. If the machine is spinning up and preparing for a carve, I'll send power to both green and yellow wires. When the machine is in motion and carving, I'll send power to the green, yellow, and red wires. I may send 24v to the orange buzzer wire for 2 seconds at the same time I send power to red wire when the machine starts to move.Friendly note to the author of the Amazon product description: it's "baseball bat" shaped, not "baseball" shaped. :)I am very happy I ordered this 3-tier LED light. It is very well made, is truly industrial, is easy to wire and install, and works as expected. At $36, I feel the value and quality of this light far exceed the cost.Closing Remarks: Before I ordered this light, I ordered a white plastic version of this light from a different manufacturer/Amazon seller, with the intent of installing it on my new, solid welded-steel, CNC machine. That one had white lights inside with green, yellow, and red prism style lenses. It turned out to be incredibly lightweight, a stark contrast to the machine I intended to install it on. It also turned out to be a stark contrast to THIS light. I chose to not install the plastic one on the CNC machine and decided to use it for a hobby/homeowner fun project. I am very glad I found this all-metal light. I will update my review with photos and videos after I get it installed and programmed.
