For the high price, I thought that this unit would be well engineered with many advanced features. This is a basic can with fancy looking ports on top. It was $108 but does not offer much more than the $25 cans offered on Amazon. Anyhow, I sent this catch-can back. I need a "can" that I can open, and this one does not. Also, the intake and exhaust ports appear (in the photos) to swivel because the bolts that go down from the top... They do not and are in a fixed position. I needed them to swivel or at least be at a 45-degree angle from each other. Lastly, if you remove the intake and exhaust ports, the holes into the can are almost half the diameter of the hose connections. This will highly restrict the airflow (CFM's) needed for free-flowing crank case pressure in a turbo charged vehicle. Probably work fine for up to a 2.0-liter engine (maybe), but any larger engine size this catch-can will not be able to handle the required CFM's for the blowby! Mishimoto needs to reengineer this unit or lower the cost to about $20. I want to thank the seller for taking the kit back without any issues.

The polished aluminum finish is spectacular. Having a sight tube is a nice feature not found on most catch cans. It comes with a standard oil pan plug which I replaced with a drain cock for easy, clean dumping of the oil. As you can see from the images it fit nicely in a Mazda 3 Hatchback. Almost looks factory.

Did not install !!! completely disappointed !!! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!! as a oil "catch" can. Product is completely hollow there are no separaters, baffles or filters like oil "catch" can is supposed to have. IT WILL NOT "CATCH" and or "SEPARATE" any oil molecules from the air that is drawn from the PCV valve into the intake manifold !!!! Completely junk ! As one person said in a review it's a soup can... actually a soup can would probably work better and 100% cost less.....

Completely hollow can. Fittings do not sit flush with housing due to cheap gasket-like material. Screws/Threading for mounting points aren't fully sealed and could cause a vacuum leak. Exposed thread tape on level indicators. Overall cheap feeling and not something I'm confident using in my car. There are better quality alternatives for the same price or even less.

This kit is falsely advertised not by the seller, but by Mishimoto as an oil catch can. It will not trap and retain or "catch", oil. It has no internal baffle, filter, or any method for stopping oil and fuel vapor from the pcv from circulating back into the intake manifold, hence not a catch can at all but a reservoir. I am very unhappy about being misled and outright lied to in regards to this unit's function.
