Lost this same one in the Queen Mary 2 cruise from France to NYC. I've repurchased again because it is a walking stick and telescope superably. Good for a female defense weapon because it is a little heavy and gives a good hit if needed. Telescope open or closed very well.

Like everyone else I couldn't get the top, compass unscrewed because it was put on by Hercules at the plant but a little anger and some channel locks got the job done. It does the job holding the camera steady despite my shaky hands. It's a sturdy rod and does double quite well as a walking stick. (Make sure to swap the foot so you don't wear out the rubber).Overall it's priced low and does what it's made for. Works as advertised once you can get the top loose. Adjustable so I use it sitting or standing and collapses to fit in the bag. I'd buy it again.

Length and height are perfect. Easy instructions for vertically challenged people and locks in place. Nice lightweight material and hand grips are thick. Nice to have when getting in your walks.

I like how easy it is to adjust with individual thumb latches however it does not support weight and will collapse unexpectedly
