I purchased two of these and one came with the compression strap broken. This strap is to keep the shock compressed for easier installation. Fortunately this shock is not too difficult to re-compress. Also I had to grind about 1/8" off of the steel insert on the bottom mount to fit into the mounting bracket.

I installed these and they began to creek inside the first month. I checked to be 100% sure they are snug and will be replacing them.Do not buy Monroe shocks

Not the strongest shocks out there, but for average city and highway driving, it's more than fine. Not sure if I'd use them for off-road driving. They wouldn't last too long.
