i bought this for my 6 yo son, who is very slim and small. all his clothes are XS or when it comes to taekwondo uniform 000. anyways these mooto guards are great as they are high enough on my boy to also protect his knees, but for some reason the circumference runs small. buy at least a size up or better two sizes up, as the straps on this one barely touch the velcro, because they run too small. otherwise good material.

These fit perfectly. I was worried they might be 1 inch to tall for my shins since I am pretty short. They feel nicely padded and don't feel a thing when I hit or get hit with them. I really like the thick straps... they feel like they won't come undone during sparring.
