The instructions are a bit... sparse. This is an aftermarket part that fits a lot of different vehicle configs, and you sort of have to know what you're doing already to make it work.

Bolts provided would not fit the 289 Ford block to mount the generator. I had to buy a smaller bolt to the block and thread a new insert into the bracket provided with the kit. The Y shape water pump bracket is good. The spreader link does not securely hold the other side of the alternator. Because it remains flexible at the ball joints, the alternator vibrates badly. I needed to build an additional bracket securely hold the alternator.

Solved my alternator mounting problems. Kit contains extra parts to mount to different applications. I am using a GM alternator on a ford and only required one 3" bolt that did not come in the kit. I still give it 5 stars
