This tool works great. It's allows you to bleed the brakes or hydraulic clutch on virtually any vehicle,by yourself. If you're planning on using this to bleed the air out of an ABS module. It won't do that, but it will do a good job at bleeding brakes as long as there's no air in the ABS pump. The big flat chevrolet master cylinder adapter is almost too small. But it does work. I wish it was 1/4 inch larger.

One man bleeder. Strong and effective. Will work on most master cylinder reservoirs. Comes with everything needed.

A challenge to tighten device enough to hold the pressure. Never totally did but enough to pressurize and quickly bleed the brakes on all four wheels. Sure beats any vacuum options.

Broken fitting as received causing intermittent leaks during operation. To spend $100+ on a product which is more of a pain and works worse than just manually pedal bleeding is quite frustrating. You will find that this company was acquired recently and many are reporting their quality has taken a nose dive. If you have a unit from many years ago that works, lucky you.Aside from the quality issues: if you have a large old style american reservoir, good luck getting the cap to seal. They cut the gasket for the square adapter to the mm for no apparent reason making the alignment of the cap on the reservoir very tricky, again for no good reason.Avoid and buy a proper bleeder from a serious company.

I have a 1969 Corvette and they are NOTORIOUS for caliper leaks and being very hard to bleed. As a former ASE licensed tech I can vouch that they are extremely hard to get the air out of the system.I rebuilt the rear calipers and installed rebuilt caliper in the front, so NO brake fluid at all. As per the instructions I did a dry run and the master cylinder leaked at the rear. I ended up using a large c clamp and continued on my way. The kit comes with a short piece of class vinyl tubing so I could watch the air bubbles stop. After running about 1.5 quarts of fluid and finding no more bubbles I checked and the brake pedal is good and hard.As far as the leaking adapter I give it a pass. Professional bleeder kits do this all the time. With the c clamp I didn’t make a mess or spill any brake fluid. I think if I would have super cleaned the master cylinder mating surface the c clamp wouldn’t have been needed. In all, the bleeding took about 45 minutes, much faster and leas frustrating than having a helper pump the brakes.

Extremely great product and I've used it for other applications like pressure testing radiators and backwards bleeding brakes.Although the clamping system that comes with the kit is garbage those chains and J hooks don't hold worth a damn. I've noticed other people use like 14 wood clamps. This is not necessary. Not only is it not necessary but it doesn't work very well. I used a single C-clamp in the center and it worked the best, better than the chains and better than 4 clamps on the edges.I was able to peg the pressure Guage out with no problem using this technique. As long as you're creative and innovative you will typically always find a way to hold whatever attachments tight. And find various uses for this pressure kit.100% worth the buy!

First, I've tried a few other DIY bleeding systems so this isn't my first time, or the first product I've tried.I was hesitant to purchase the Motive bleeder system because it costs so much more than others I've had. However, all the others haven't worked very well. They were messy, required two people to use, broke easily, and some require an air compressor. So I took a chance after reading a lot of good reviews. But I was still skeptical because the other systems had good reviews too.Anyway, the Motive Products 0250 brake system is the real thing. This one does what it says and does it well.It was relatively easy to use. The most difficult part is attaching the fluid resivoir cap. It's a trial and error process but once I did a few pressure tests and readjusted it a few times it worked flawlessly. In fact, no other bleeder system is as easy to use. Once the resivoir cap is secure and you know you have a good seal, you can bleed a small car (I did a Honda Civic) in 30 minutes, depending your experience. Even novice mechanical can do a car in an hour.I fullu recommend this Motive system and will never use another. It is more expensive but it's totally worth it. Great product!

Recently I had need to change out all four of the flexible brake hoses on my International 4300 dump truck truck. This unit worked well for pressure bleeding the brakes. The International brake bleed procedure called for 35psi pressure. The fitted gauge on the tank is marked up to 30psi, so I maxed that out at just over 30psi and the brake lines, all four corners, bled with no problem at all. For the operation I also ordered, and used, Motive Products 1103 Adapter. This provided the correct cap to fit the brake fluid reservoir on the truck. It also fits my 2013 Jeep Wrangler JK. To keep the pressure bottle spotless I didn't pour any brake fluid into the bottle itself. I just made sure that the truck brake reservoir (which is a pretty large capacity anyway) didn't drop below the minimum mark during bleeding I had to depressurise the pressure tank once to top up the brake reservoir. The upside of that method is there is no need to drain and clean the pressure bottle after the job is done. This is easily carried out as a one person operation.

WORKED VERY WELL. I THINK THE Adaptor should be easier to use. The universal cap should have a better way of securing it to the master cylinder. overall the unit is awesome and I am happy with it. would recommend it to a friend.

Worked exactly as it says. Really handy tool to have for bleeding. Best method I’ve ever used. The chain that is used for the multiple use cap was too short so I had to find a longer one. Ended up ordering the GM specific one anyway because I own only GM vehicles. Only other thing I would change is I wish it had quick connects when changing the cap adapters. Definitely a must have tool for bleeding brakes. You don’t need a helper to pump the pedal and also can avoid ruining an old master cylinder from using pump pedal method.

I used this on my 2007 Buick Allure with the universal round adapter with no issues. It is always better to have a screw on master cylinder adapter if available for your application. I also received the European adapter for my 2002 VW Golf and it is a spot match. Of course it is easier and quicker if you can purchase the adapter that screws on the applicable master cylinder ( if available ) it also includes and the large rectangular adapter for older vehicles that have a large dual chamber master cylinder. This is an important tool because you should replace your brake fluid every 2 years to prevent internal corrosion. Remember to purchase denatured alcohol ( ethanol ) to clean the brake bleeder after each use !

I just replaced my master cylinder and bled out the entire system with new fluid. It worked great. I read some of the bad reviews and all I can say is "you have to be smarter than the tool". I took my time, carefully mounted it to the reservoir before adding fluid and did a pressure test. No need for soapy water. I pumped it up to 5 lbs and it lost pressure. I put Teflon tape on the brass fitting, tried again and wallah. If yours still leaks try tightening the adapter until it stops. Fill the M.C. to the full mark, fill tank about half full, mount, pump up to 10 lbs and bleed the system out. You will have to pump up a couple of times along the way. The M.C. will stay at the full mark. Slowly unscrew the the lid on the tank to relieve pressure and remove. Re-tighten the lid, place the hose over the fluid container and slowly pump until empty. Store the tank with the lid loose. I did the whole system and only spilt 1 drop of fluid when removing it from the reservoir.

This is an excellent product and made quick work of bleeding the brakes on my Mercedes E class. I normally use a homemade method to bleed brakes but the pedal in this car is just a switch and can't be used in the normal way. Mercedes recommends pressure bleeding and this system fit the bill. The hose is good quality but makes it cumbersome to screw on the cap since no part of the hose rotates. You have to spin the bottle as you tighten the cap to keep the hose from kinking. This is my only complaint on an otherwise solid product. There are extra plates for other vehicles and applications. Since the euro adapter fits all my cars, I think one could save money buying a kit with fewer adapters and just get the one you need. At this price, they should include one of their receptacle bottles. For the simplicity of this system, it is a bit overpriced but the money is in the adapters. There are videos on youtube showing how you can make one of these out of a 1gallon garden sprayer.
