In order to get the rack under the bar and lined up with the hole under the seat I had to take off the circular flange around the hole where the hex screw screws in. I couldn’t get it to line up any other way as the rack kept getting stuck on the outside and wouldn’t come up over the mounting point and line up with the hole. There wasn’t that problem with the hole on the back portion of the fender.They include two rubber grommets but there are no directions so I don’t know if they went under the rack to keep it off the metal of the fender hole or on top and under the screw. I put it under the screw, on top of the rack hole and it seems to work fine.I recommend putting blue lock tight on the two screws before reinstalling them.I gave this rack 4 out of 5 stars as it looks good but it’s not that big and so it will most likely only hold small bags. But if you don’t plan on having/wanting a passenger I’d recommend this rack as a viable option. Just wish they included directions.

No sharp edges, thick, even paint, a nice glossy black.Since I don’t carry a passenger, this is a truly practical option. The price is certainly outstanding too!
