I needed something to act as a counter weight on a handheld camera rig. This fit the bill perfectly. I only needed to use 1 of the weights as using both of them would have made the rig too back heavy.

Using a big lens on a small body camera creates balance issues. Seems counterintuitive but adding weight helps stabilize the camera. Especially when needing to balance camera rig for use with an EZ Rig. Easy to assemble and you can use one 2.5lb or both to have 5lbs of counter balance.

Tried to separate the attachment from one weight, wonder if the cap screw was glued in. Was going to use the weights in a macro setup. Will try heat!

I purchased two of these for counterweight sets for use on a steadycam with a heavier camera and a new bracing vest. The weights which came with my flycam 3000 (purchased several years ago) just weren't heavy enough to balance it out, and I could find nothing else which would provide a stable counterweight that looks great on set. Used in conjunction with dual 15mm rods, and a cheeseplate, these are easily moved in or out to fine tune the balance.What I dislike are the tightening knobs. They are not ratcheting, so the final position of each is finite. It would be great if these could be positioned by the user after being tightened. It would be great if this included some sort of "cap" to cover the threaded hole in the weight when not in use.Overall though these are much more appealing than a stack of flat washers. It performs what I intended it for, and does a great job.I highly recommend this product for aestetics alone.

ウエイト部分だけ使ってます。マンフロットの1.3Kgカウンターウェイトとほぼ同じ値段ですが、ウエイトが2つに分離できる、ウエイトに切られてるねじが1/4inchでバーに直接つける事ができる、ウェイトとウェイトを繋ぐねじが外れるので1Kgｘ2で使える。コスパいいです。

I got this to balance my telescope. It screwed onto my dovetail adapter. These are the only weights that I could find with 1/4" threads at this price. I asked several times on Amazon about the diameter of the weights. I was told 1" and 2". They are actually 3". It fits my adapter perfectly. The only issue I had was removing the screw holding the metal bar on one weight. It was really tight and the Allen wrench was a little loose. The screw did eventually come loose without stripping. It is excellent.

Ein Gegengewicht am Schulterstativ macht den Einsatz desselben sehr viel einfacher und angenehmer, besonders mit einer DSLR plus großem Objektiv am anderen Ende.Dieses Gegengewicht tut das was es soll, es ist schwer. Dabei macht es aber auch einen durchaus robusten und wertigen Eindruck, die Schnellverschlüsse sind sinnvoll gesetzt und gut zu bedienen, sie lassen sich per Hand schon ausreichend festziehen, wer ganz auf Nummer Sicher gehen will, bekommt sie mit einem Sechskantschlüssel bombenfest.Die angebrachten Gewichte lassen sich teilen, sodass sowohl leichtere als auch schwerere Kameramodelle ausgeglichen werden können. Etwas kleinschrittigere Gewichte, dafür mehr, wären nett gewesen, bei dem Preis aber total in Ordnung. Außerdem lässt sich mit den vorhandenen Möglichkeiten und ein wenig Verschieben des Gewichts das meiste sehr gut ausgleichen.

Tengo un shoulder rig de smallrig y con estos contrapesos he conseguido que esté mucho más equilibrado sobre mi hombro. Antes tenía uqe ejercer mucha más fuerza porque evidentemente el centro de gravedad estaba muy avanzado. Muy buena compra

I'm super thankful Neewer sold these, the one that came with my Neewer rig was only 1kg, and due to the Nikon P1000 being so heavy with the glass in the lens I had to support the entire rig with my arms and shoulder muscles, which was painful.Super thankful the blue model of this came back into stock so it matched my rig. Hopefully the 2kg combined weight will balance out the camera, but if not I can use the other 1kg weight on the rig as well.Neewer, thank you so much for your products, they are a huge help at getting my own studio and production company started.

No problems with shipping and product works as expected. There is not too much to critique regarding quality as its just a weight system but it does have a slight shake to it if wiggled. I do not notice that while in use. I am using this on a DSLR rig so there is plenty of weight to counter-balance the front load. I am currently only using half the weight to balance a sony A7iii with cage and two handles attached. It could easily handle a shotgun mic without additional weight.

I hate, hate how expensive rigs and their components are. They're not electronics (at the lower end), they're just aluminum. So I've been trying to build one on the reasonable budget of $500 (which is still WAY too much for some machined metal!). I got the iKan Fly Offset, which is the best one in the $500 or so category, and it's great but it doesn't have a good counterweight.This is madness.Think about holding your heavy camera and glass out in front of your face for hours. Arms tired yet? Yeah.You NEED a counterweight on a rig to balance it front to back. It makes it heavier overall, but relatively MUCH less heavy on your arms. When I put this counterweight on, suddenly the camera felt feather-light and I was able to have a great, fluid, moving shoot today, finally, like I've always wanted.This counterweight is great and it's a great price - I have no idea why some companies are trying to charge hundreds for a chunk of metal, but it's ridiculous. This is perfect. The only reason it loses a star is because the thumb screws aren't ratcheting. This is super annoying when trying to get something on or off and the "tight" position happens to be conflicting with an object in the way. But, likely this is a piece that you put on and leave it there, or at least are not fiddling with a lot, so not the biggest deal. And possibly you can replace them if it annoys you.Overall, a much-needed addition to a rig and a key to finally getting smooth, moving footage, free from the constraints of the sticks!!
