The part was listed to fit my Dell, but when I took it to the shop to have it installed, I found it wasn't the right one. I was ill, and by the time I found out, it was too late to return it.

The original keyboard was in pretty bad condition. I searched Amazon and easily found this replacement. I also was able to find a very helpful video on Youtube that walked me through the basic replacement process. This made the installation of the keyboard replacement a very simple process. Very happy thus far with the product. Works as represented.

Don't try unless you know how. Dell is not easy, esp. ribbons. No performance issues.

This is the exact replacement keyboard for my Dell inspiron. The only thing I don't like is the silver color it would be better in black.

Update: second keyboard backlight is uneven, almost non existent in certain spots and now the keys are popping up as I type. Definitely disappointed with this product and will be returning.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Purchased this keyboard to replace mine when it died. The first keyboard had an issue with the layers separating causing a bowing effect at the short ends of the keyboard. I communicated with Sunmall and was told that it was how the keyboard was installed because it wasn't flush with the computer. So I had it re-installed and they discovered the separating layers. Communicated with Sunmall again and they told me it wasn't their problem and to deal with Amazon. So between re-install, communicating with Sunmall again, and processing the return the back light also died (within 2 weeks of having it initially installed). Just received the replacement and had it installed today. Same issue with both short ends not sitting flush, keyboard end is worse that caps lock end. The issue is not as extreme as the first keyboard and so far the light still remains functional. When you press the number keys it feels like you're pressing down on a trampoline. For $42 with tax I would expect a flush keyboard that lasts more than 2 weeks without issues. I am looking for an alternative because the gap at the end of the keyboard is large enough that debris can get under it. I will update with an alternative seller once found.
