I generally keep an old car around for things that I don't want to do in my primary car, like taking our recycling to the convenience center and donations to the thrift store. Because of this, I like to have an OBD reader and other automotive testing products around to ensure that I can keep my car on the road without needing a trip to the parts store. Enter this product.It's truly very close to perfect. In fact, I can't actually put my finger on anything I would change. The device is as simple and easy to use as you'd want it to be, and it shows a surprising level of information. It's obviously not going to print out a whole report like the handheld devices that the major parts chains use, but this thing will accomplish your goal of testing your battery--and it does it quite quickly. Honestly, outside of a professional shop environment, I see no reason to buy anything more expensive for battery testing. This one reliably does the job every time and even has a ripple test option, much like the $500 readers!Physically, the device is incredibly lightweight and has a near-perfect design. The multi-line readout display is excellent and has good contrast--enough to see in a brighter environment. The included cables are plenty long enough for most applications and the alligator clamps are good as well, if a little small.All in all, for this price, this is peace of mind that is well worth it! Highly recommend.
