This is the best drum throne I've used in almost forty years of drumming. I historically used the "tractor seat" type of thrones but had a chance to use the round Roc-N-Soc at a practice studio and loved it.

I had read numerous reviews and researched this product thoroughly before buying.....I also own a Tama Ist Chair throne with the "motorcycle" type triangular seat but found that it does not allow more than one seating position because of the shape.....the reviews for this one however stated that it allowed more flexibility in seating positions as well as having the center depression which accommodates the tail bone....this seat has not disappointed...it is comfortable and the "gas" operated height adjustment is the cats-ass!!....I also purchased the backrest for this unit which certainly makes it even more comfortable....I was also getting back pain with the Tama seat but not with this one, thanks to the backrest as an added feature....all in all, it's a great seat and highly reccomended!!

I know that it's expensive, but it's the most comfortable drum throne I've ever sat on. The bicycle style is also great!

I've been a professional, touring drummer for over 25 years and have owned and used gear from nearly all the top name brands.This Roc N Soc throne is the same top quality as all others by Roc N Soc. Some people prefer the saddle seat style and some prefer the round style. That's mostly personal preference. However, as you can see from the picture, the middle of the round Roc N Soc seat is lower and feels more comfy on my tailbone. The "Nitro" height adjustment is by far the best and easiest to use. I really love the way it also has a little bounce to it. Makes it even more comfy when playing for hours. Bottom line, you can spend more money, but you won't get a better quality throne anywhere.

i love the way seat is firm, smooth adjust up and down, swivels nicely and quality materials. but unfortunately my butt still become numb after i've practiced drumming on djembe drum to sit for two hours. i've to put the inflates sit pad on drum throne to reduce any numb.

Defective unit. Chair kept slipping for my entire 2 hour gig. Definitely one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had with a chair unfortunately.

It's pricey but man does it work well! It is sooooo comfy for your butt at gigs. I just used it on my gig last night and it was lovely! Very easy to breakdown and move around. The air pump height adjustment is effortless. I prefer the tri leg base concept rather than the weird 8 or what computer legged chair concept I bought from them in the past. Very easy to move around behind the kit, barely takes up any space. GREAT buy!

The best iv'e sat on. Comfortable... soft and firm seat, smooth adjust up and down, swivels nicely. I've had my first one for like 6 years, no problems, still looks like new. I recently got another one because it seems to be the seat of choice when people come over.
