I have two of these tempcubes and LOVE THEM! No more worrying that my house furnace has quit working and the pipes have frozen. I get alerts when the temp is below my set threshold and I can check it at anytime. I have one in my crawlspace to alert me of excess humidity which could be a water leak. I have total piece of mind. Price is fair and the device is easy to set up and connect to my WiFi. I wouldn't be without my tempcubes!!!

When I unboxed this I wasn't sure it would do the heavy lifting because it is small and compact. However, I powered it up, followed the instructions, and now I able to monitor the temperature in a remote house from wherever I am. I also left it plugged in so the battery wouldn't run down after a month (discharge was about 3% per day on the battery without leaving it plugged in). Plugged in it stays fully charged and I programmed it to give me updates every 30 minutes. It's connected to my Wifi at the remote house and just keeps sending me those peace of mind updates to my cell phone (with the downloadable free app from Apple Store)Net-net ?What's not to love? It's a 5-star keeper!

I got this to monitor temperature in my RV, plugged into an always-on USB port. Initially it mostly worked and would occasionally disconnect from the Wi-Fi (once every few weeks or so) and I would need to manually reconnect it to the Wi-Fi. The period of time it would stay connected kept getting shorter and at this point it will say it has reconnected, but it won’t register any new temperature readings.I did initially talk to their customer support once or twice, and they seemed quite eager to try to help, but I don’t have time to mess with it anymore and just need something that consistently works, so I’m going to try something else.Update: TempCube customer service reached out to me and sent a TempCube Pro to replace my original purchase which at the time was simply called TempCube. I had low expectations however I have been successfully using the new version for many months and had no more issues with the device disconnecting. If you have any problems with your device, I would encourage you to speak with their customer service as they do seem to be honestly trying to help.

Very satisfied with the product easy to set up

I purchased this to keep dogs safe in an RV in the event of a power loss. As such, I need a device that will inform me of a communication loss between the app and the unit as my internet would likely drop out as well in some cases. For this purpose it does work, but there are some limitations you should know about (read on).Out of the box the laminated instruction card prompts you to install and follow the directions on the phone app. Unfortunately, my TempCube refused to communicate with the app in any way until I called customer service (who immediately called me back and reset my device). This took less than 20 minutes, but was somewhat frustrating right out of the box.The app has some very poorly described key steps that will cause you much frustration until you work them out:1. When the app prompts you to push the reset button and wait 20 seconds for the green light to flash; you don't need to hold the reset button for 20 seconds, just click the reset button with the included tool once and then wait until the light on the unit starts flashing. Be patient; it will cycle off, then back on, then eventually it will start blinking.2. The battery will take a LONG time to fully charge (4+ hours for me), so if you're wondering why you're still seeing a red LED after an hour that's normal.3. The manual mentions that it might take up to an hour to start seeing any data in the app. This was indeed the case, so be patient and don't bother messing with settings until then as you won't be able to verify the changes.If you follow the rest of the instructions and are extremely patient (the menus take quite a while to populate and the experience is a bit clunky), you should eventually get the thing connected and working. You also might need to try more than a few times to register your warranty as for some reason it refused to accept my Amazon order number until the third try.In use, the app and unit appear to work as advertised (with some limitations, see below). Other users have noted temperature accuracy to be within +/- 2 degrees F, which is acceptable but humorously the app shows out to .01 of a degree F. The unit appears to update the app about every 30 minutes on average when there isn't an issue, regardless of your set timing interval (you can adjust it down to every 10 minutes in the menus). As far as I can tell, that 10 minute interval is just telling the unit to record the temperature to internal device storage and then dumping that data to the internet about every 30 minutes. Additionally, in a full power loss situation (pulling the power cord out of the unit and my internet router simultaneously) it took the app slightly more than an hour to notify me of an issue. So, the "instant notification" advertised for such situations only appears to work if the unit has an internet connection at the time of the issue. During the total power / comm loss, the unit did continue logging temperature every 10 minutes internally and did report those data points once an internet connection was reestablished two hours later.So, if you're relying on this to save your dogs in a hot environment you may want to invest in a battery backup for your internet and be aware that without one you won't know what's going on for at least 30 minutes and possibly more than an hour in the event of a total power loss. By comparison, my Blink cameras notified me of the power / communication loss within 10 minutes.Overall, I would say I'm happy with the unit and its capabilities for the money and lack of required subscription. However, I would really like to see a better app / manual with more clear instructions and a little more detail on communication schedule between the app and unit as the stated numbers are a bit misleading.

Purchased a TempCube Pro. First impressions….SetUp - very easy, done in 15 minApp - syncs up without problems, super easy to change settingsAccuracy (measuring against three other temp/humidity sensors)- Temp - claims +/-1% (battery power only) - seems to be consistent ranges within that tolerance- Temp - claims +/- 2% (USB power) - my experience shows closer to +/- 5 deg- Humidity (claims +/- 5%) - I find its absolute reading to be +10% points higher then my other three devices. That would make it 5% points outside the accuracy range. Possibly it takes time to calibrate itself. (For me, humidity is the primary importance)------------------- UPDATE (11 Oct) -------------------------------------------------After a few more days, based on comparison to baseline of three (3) independent RH sensors, the tempCube Pro continues to track 10.3-13.8 RH points higher than the baseline. Temperature tracking is within 1-2 deg (F). Additionally, I am receiving "Power Loss" notifications about every hour when running on battery only. Not happy with this unit and will be returning. Currently comparing to FireStick which seems to be tracking within their stated accuracy. Will review that one as well after a few more days.
