Succeeding the award-winning NF-A15 and building on the technological innovations of the ground-breaking NF-A12x25, the NF-A14x25r G2 is Noctua’s next-generation round-frame 140mm flagship model: Made from Sterrox LCP, its highly optimised Progressive-Bend impeller with winglets, Flow Acceleration Channels and Centrifugal Turbulator Hub combined with a tip-clearance of only 0.7mm allow the NF-A14x25r G2 to further improve its predecessor’s renowned quiet cooling performance. This makes it not only a perfect fit for Noctua’s next-generation 140mm class heatsinks but also an excellent upgrade for existing cooler models such as the NH-D15(S) or NH-U14S series (Sx2-PP set recommended for push/pull configurations). The 4-pin PWM version supports fully automatic speed control via PWM fan headers and comes with a Low-Noise Adaptor to reduce the maximum speed from 1500 to 1250rpm. Its ultra low-loss etaPERF motor with Smooth Commutation Drive 2 technology doesn’t only provide unprecedented energy efficiency and running smoothness but thanks to the new SupraTorque feature, it can also leverage extra torque headroom to keep the fan at its desired speed when working against back pressure, thereby ensuring even better performance on heatsinks. Progressive-Bend impeller
The NF-A14x25 G2 features a unique Progressive-Bend impeller with Flow Acceleration Channels and winglets. Its nine blades are swept backwards close to the hub and progressively bent forward further out. Working in tandem with the Centrifugal Turbulator hub, this design not only helps to push more air towards the outer blade areas where efficiency is higher but also assures maximum lift and near uniform loading across the entire blade span.
Centrifugal Turbulator hub
Acting as a turbulator, the new Centrifugal Turbulator hub design improves flow attachment in the hub region. At the same time, it’s centrifugal driving motion pushes air outwards from the hub area where efficiency is low due to the slow rotational speed towards the outer, high-efficiency zones of the blades, thereby increasing overall efficiency by optimising fluid distribution across the impeller area.
SSO2 Bearing
The NF-A14x25 G2 features the further optimised second generation of Noctua's renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability.
Ultra-tight tip clearance
The NF-A14x25 G2 has a record tight tip clearance (distance between the blade tips and the inside of the frame) of only 0.7mm. This highly ambitious design sets a new benchmark for 140mm fans and helps the NF-A14x25 G2 to work more efficiently against back pressure, such as on heatsinks or radiators, by reducing leak flows through the gap between impeller and frame.

Highly optimised P/Q curve for all applications
The NF-A14x25 G2’s sophisticated aerodynamic design allows for a pressure to airflow (P/Q) curve that is extremely strong in the critical mid-section. This means that the NF-A14x25 G2 is a true jack-of-all-trades with excellent performance in both static pressure and airflow demanding applications.

J'ai ajouté deux Noctua NF-A14x25r G2 PWM au-dessus de mon boîtier PC Antec Performance 1 pour améliorer l'extraction de l'air chaud et je suis bluffé ! Ils sont terriblement efficaces et incroyablement silencieux. Certes, ils coûtent 39,95€ pièce, mais la qualité est indéniable. Pour moi, ce sont sans doute les meilleurs ventilateurs au monde.Points positifs :Efficacité de refroidissement exceptionnelle.Silence de fonctionnement impressionnant.Qualité de fabrication irréprochable.Idéal pour optimiser le flux d'air de mon boîtier PC Antec Performance 1.Point à considérer :Prix un peu élevé (39,95€).Pas de RGB

I’ve been waiting on the release of the 140mm x25 fan, this version features a 120mm mounting pattern, these variations are designated with an ‘r’, and have a round frame style, and are purpose designed as 140mm fans with 120mm screw placement. The traditional square frame version (non-r), which will have a 140mm mounting pattern, has not been released at the time of this review. Scheduled for September 2024.That said, I really wanted to mount these fans on a 280mm radiator. Fortunately, Noctua makes a mounting adapter that, with a little modification (a rough trim with aviation snips), can be cut down to the corner pieces, providing the perfect fit for 140mm mounting points. I’m sure a neater job could have been accomplished with a rotary tool, or even 3D Printing. But for ~$13 adapters, they were cheap enough to just modify.I’ve attached a photo showing the NF-A14x25r on a 280mm radiator, alongside another photo with the 120mm Square brethren, the NF-A12x25 for comparison Side-by-side. And the final put together radiator with semi-DIY adapters.

I knew these are primarily made for CPU coolers but I really wanted to buy them anyways for my fractal north case which I use them on the mesh side to give my graphics card and cpu with plenty of cool air.

High quality fan from Noctua. Added to my Noctua CPU cooler. Definitely pricey but I had gift card balance. Noise is a bit higher pitched from the previous model. Running at moderate speeds works great to keep the temps and noise low.

As usual Noctua does not disappoint. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.I'm using two of them in a push application bringing air in from the front of the case.The only thing I would have liked is the availability in black as I can see them through the front grill. Not ideal but I need all the air flow I can get to cool the i7 14700 boosted CPU.
