The Blue Yellow Red African Sese Wood Zulu Mask offered by Novica arrived with all its intricate beads intact. It is meticulously well made and it's size is right for placing mask as decoration on a wall. Best one from the three purchased so far.

What a stunning and absolutely gorgeous mask. This is, as noted from the NOVICA site, "This stylized mask by Saeed Musah of Ghana is a stunning and awe-inspiring addition to your home decor. The mask is hand carved from sese wood and features an intricate design created using recycled glass beads and aluminum plates. This mask, titled "Zulu", is named after the largest ethnic group in South Africa." It is about 14 inches in height, and 4 inches wide. It comes with a leather loop on the top edge of the mask to hang on your wall.The mask is hand carved from sese wood and shipped here from Africa. The beads are all perfectly laid in and are well placed, so you can run your fingers over it to geel the texture. It gives a nice type of esoteric look to your environment and certainly to spark curiosity, if not conversation. It is a solid piece of wood, so it has weight to it. I am very pleased with this piece. This is my first mask of this type, as well as from NOVICA. It states on the product page that it comes with "Certified: comes with an official NOVICA story card certifying quality & authenticity". However, my sample did not come with it. I was hoping the story card would have given the mask some context, but instead I will have to either research or conjure my own history for it. Needless to say, if you are looking for quality, this is certainly one I would recommend.
