These are great and just want I needed. I wanted the latch to be able to close onto a metal lip surface and did not want a model that needed a separate top latching piece.Some reviews have people complaining about the separate latch receiver part was “missing”, they are not as this design is intended to work without them.This will only work for certain applications like mine where it is latching onto the metal lid / lip of a garbage can.

There was zero receiver hooks included, even though the advertisement picture showed a stainless steel receiver hook to attach the hasp to.Also manufacturer provided picture shows a lock slot on the hasp, which is NOT included either.Unit seems built well, but with parts missing that are shown in the manufacturer provided picture, this product will require me to go purchase additional supplies to make it work as shown in the picture.

This is a well made stainless steel latch, BUT not quite as shown. One photo shows a hook with an opposing (separate) latch to connect two pieces. However, the actual item is just one piece with a right angle (actually about an 85 degree angle) lip that would fit over the top of a lid. I’m going to try this to hold the top of a fiberglass lid of a boat compartment down. Hopefully it won’t slip off, but I was hoping it was a two piece device.
