This thing looks amazing and is very very warm. I was able to use this for just a little bit before it got incredibly hot but the few times I did use it was just around my farm. It kept the wind off my face and was very warm. It's also very silly. Most certainly looks like an octopus hanging off the face.

This is my second crochet hat like this. The first one got chewed up by the dog, so I wanted a replacement. This one is slightly smaller, it's tight on my head. But it looks great. If you ever wear it out during the winter, you will get a lot of stares and comments. It does work to keep your face warm. I don't need that, I live in a hot area of the country. I just wear it to look funny, which it does. It also works well with a pirate costume to look like some of the Pirates of the Caribbean characters.
