This socket is so well constructed that it is a pleasure to own. I needed it to install the anode rod on my water heater and it worked excellently. The design put the pressure on the flat edges of the nut, not on the sharp angle edges that could round off a hard to remove nut (head of the anode rod). I appreciate the workmanship that has gone into this item. A great value for the money.

I typically keep a few tools with me when on the road, while we tow our travel trailer. Having this one socket allows me to check the anode in my 6 gallon Suburban water heater and drain the hot water tank for cleaning/ winterizing. Really nice to not have to pillage the socket from my toolbox at home. It's well made as expected from OEMTools. If you have an Atwood water heater - You need a 1" socket

It fit my camper water heater. I welded it onto a crank handle so I could remove the sacrificial element in my water heater to drain it in winter.
