I've had these on a kneeling chair for over a year now. No issues.Rolling is very smooth; especially on the wood floor in my office. I was also worried that the rolling would be TOO good and that I'd slowly drift when sitting still at my desk. However they stay in place and I don't find myself rolling away from my desk.

These have a completely different construction and upper bearings. They have an extremely smooth movement when you change direction. A night and day difference between this style and the 95% that have the loose ball bearings at the top. There are only 3 or 4 sellers selling this type on Amazon and they are all low priced. Even if you already have the old style top (loose) ball bearings - replace them with these. You definately won't be sorry!!

I've been on a quest for sometime with these roller blade wheels. So far, these are the best construction (enclosed dual bearings) and for a price that's currently unbeatable ($28).No more little balls scattering around the floor when the other ones got lose and bent. Especially for heavier people they were particularly bad, or chairs if they didn't have a gas cylinder under the chair to coushin when the person sat down.Definitely these dual enclosed ball bearings are the way to. I've had these now for over a year and the only miff is that one of them squeeks every now and then, but quietly. The other ones with those caged balls of whatever, I was buying new sets every 6 months. These I bought in June 28 2022.

These are fast rolling on Hardwood floors. I wish one wheel came with a lock out function so chair dose not roll way.

I swear, I will never buy another computer chair without also getting "rollerblade" style wheels to go with it. They've made rolling around my office smooth as silk, and saved my laminate flooring from the scuffs and scratches wrought by stock chair wheels. Plus, pushing off and gliding effortlessly from one end of the room to the other is really satisfying. Whee!

I couldn't tell 100% in the pics but these are nice thick steel cased wheels not plastic like I worried. (was a bit hard to tell from the finish in the pictures) Easily one of the best deals on replacements wheels! I can GLIDE across the tile floors in my house now! They DO add a bit of height to your chair so be prepared for that, but that should be obvious when buying 3" wheels.

Tis is my second set of "roller blade style" casters. The first set leaked grease along the exposed bearings. This product has a cover over the bearing and, at least from the diagrams, a much better design that I am looking forward to.My first impressions are that these are MUCH more quiet than other brands - virtually silent, unlike that grippy rubber sound. I was also worried about the translucent wheels vs black, but I must say, these look great. They appear virtually black unless light shines though them somehow. In other words, they were transparent in the hand, but on the char, the lens effect seems to make them mimc the color of the floor but darker. The look great.They also feel better than the other ones I've tried in the chair. While the chair glides effortlessly, it does not move around with the smallest motion. It's basically ideal.
