Purchased to attach to a larger float box. Really works well. At least I can use a gaffe to retrieve if needed because of the ring design.

It makes the TG6 floats. I use it with the TG6 strap which makes a few straps hanging around, however I would not take the camera strap off because the float strap doesn't have the same strenth. It will not fit in the neoprene case.

It can be a little cumbersome at times but it is a great insurance policy in case I was to drop the camera while swimming. I always include it when we snorkel.

At first, I was worried that my heavy Olympus Tough camera would drag this down in the water. After a successful test in a controlled lab (my neighbor's above-ground pool), I concluded that this floats well enough to support my heavy camera! Sure, there are some less bulky floaty straps out there, but this one is bright and visible in case you drop it in a large body of water, like the ocean. No issues recommending this product.

I Bought this for my new Olympus TG5 and it is perfect. I have an average size hand and wrist and the fit is very good. I like the fact that I can keep the mounting clip on the camera and remove the strap when I don’t need the floatation feature. I keep another strap clip from my Peak Design Cuff Strap on as well so I can switch to that strap for when I’m not in the water. As for some who have complained about the string that the clip uses to attach to the camera being flimsy or breaking from the clip, you need to understand this strap is not intended to be used to dangle the camera while you are carrying it. Over time the weight of most waterproof cameras will prove to be too much for it. It is a Floatation strap, meant to be supported while in the water while you are wearing it and holding your camera so in the event you were to drop your camera in the water it will float. For everyday use when you don’t need the protection of a floatation strap I recommend you look for a second strap like the Peak Design Cuff or Lance Camera Braided Wrist Straps. I use them both for several of my cameras and they are both durable and very strong and you can easily carry your camera with these straps without fear of the strap camera fitting breaking. The Peak Design uses a very strong mounting clip which allows you to easily remove the strap.

La calidad es la esperada, muy útil para su uso en agua. Se seca muy rápido y la puedes quitar y poner en cualquier momento de manera muy fácil y rápida.

I bought it for my mini video camera from Veho. It is the Muvi Veho No Proof No Glory package. I put the Muvi camera in the plastic waterproof case and tried it in the pool. The red Olympus float sat above the water. My video camera didn't sink to the bottom. The strap dried right away when I took it out of the pool.My only complaint is the black strap on top when it floats. I can barely get a small finger insterted into the strap. The strap needs to be made larger so I can instert two fingers comfortably to pick up my video camera or still camera by the strap. My have very small fingers and hands. If I can't comfortably insert my finger? A man can't manage to get his finger in there. That leaves me to pick up the float by just grabbing the whole thing instead of by the black strap. The black strap needs to be longer so I can put in two fingers and then I will give it a 5 star rating. Most of the red strap sat above the waterline. The bright red color makes it easy to spot. My video camera is pretty heavy. I was skeptical the video camera would float. I was pleasantly surprised that it did.I recommend it.

I was a little apprehensive about buying this thing after reading so many mixed reviews about whether it actually floats or not. I decided to get it rather than getting another brand because I have the olympus stylus tough camera (which rocks, btw) and I figured if the product olympus advertises on its own website as an accessory for that camera failed and I lost the camera because of that failure I'd have a pretty good beef with Olympus. Well, I've taken the camera on numerous trips-- snorkeling in Hawaii, cave diving in Mexico, all sorts of pools, sandy water, choppy water, murky water...all no problem! My float did the job well and kept my camera floating at all times. The stylus tough camera is really cool, you can take it anywhere (throw it in the sand, snow, whatever), I take it skiing a lot and I leave the floatation wrist strap on in the snow just in case the camera gets buried. While it doesn't "float" in the snow, it's so bright it does ensure that the camera doesn't get lost in the snow.Recently, however, the tiny piece that connects the flotation strap to the camera broke (the string part that attaches to the camera and that you connect the float strap to). I looked at the Olympus website to see if I could buy that tiny piece rather than having to buy a whole new float-strap. I didn't see it advertised on the website so I called Olympus up to tell them about my problem. They don't sell that tiny piece separate from the wrist strap (which is lame, the flotation device is just fine, just the little 2 cent connector piece is broken). The woman asked me if I bought the accessory from them, I couldn't remember and she asked for my phone number to look it up. They didn't have me listed which is when I remembered I bought it from Amazon instead. So what did they do with me? Tell me to call Amazon? Nope. Tell me I was out of luck and to buy another strap? Nope. "No problem," they said "we just want to make sure you don't lose your camera, we'll send you out a brand new strap right away." How awesome is that? I don't buy the product from them and they don't sell the piece I need separately so they take it upon themselves to send me out a whole new product. They sent it out UPS and didn't even have me pay for shipping. I'm impressed, customer service like this gets you customers for life. Makes me feel better that I purchased not only this product from them but my camera as well, now if something goes wrong I know I'm in good hands.
