Was professional installed rubber boot busted in less than 2 year allowed water in and caused rust which caused drive line vibration!! Never off-road woman driven well maintained!

Ive installed a few cv joints before. I usually buy the rzeppa kit from terraflex but I decided to pay a little less for this one.I installed the bearing joint properly with the correct side facing out. Installed the snap ring and made sure it was seated correctly. Packed all the grease that was supplied. Torqued all bolts to 15ft lbs.I was on the freeway and the joint gave out spitting out my drive shaft.Don’t buy this.

Everything came included except the clamp. Not a big deal because I had one, but just so other buyers know. Actually purchased another one because a lifted jeep can always use a spare.

Factory driveshaft CV joint on my JK gave up the ghost at 61000 miles. Upgrading to the fancy heavy duty aftermarket driveshaft wasn't in my plans, so I decided to try this kit.Installation is easy for anyone with basic mechanic skills (all you need is 8mm socket, mallet and screwdriver), just a little messy (you have to pack the bearing with included grease), so make sure you have some paper towels available. There is no instructions included with the kit, but there are some good videos on YouTube (check the one from Teraflex).I gave it 4 stars instead of five because picture shows a tube of silicone gasket maker included, although in reality it didn't come with the kit. Wasn't a big deal for me (I already had a tube of Permatex in my toolbox), but other folks may need to get it separately.Now I have ~1500 miles on this new CV joint, it is a bit too early to tell, but so far it holds up well with no signs of wear or grease spill, hope it'll survive for a few tens of thousands miles.
