Bought this brand before with no problems but this handlebar came welded crooked. Noticed as soon as I installed on bike. One side is higher than other so it looks funny. If you look closely at picks u can see differant angles from the left side and right sides of handlebar.

Perfect set of lightweight riser bars. Needed something to help take pressure off my hands amd elbows- these fit the bill and look good to boot. It’s not a big riser- maybe 1.5” but it’s enough to notice. The bars are not very wide at all, which is nice if you ride in traffic or on crowded trails. Keeps a tidy aero profile despite a more upright riding position. Good alternative to drop bars. They seem very sturdy- no flexing (240lb rider)There isn’t a lot of room on the grip area- if you have separate brake/shifter clamps you may find everything wont fit. I run a 1x7 setup, with a Sora brake lever and a QuickFire brifter- everything fits just perfect with a set of standard clamp on grips. The set I received didn’t have a perfect powdercoat finish, and looked like it had been touched up with nail polish- but not worth returning. Hardly noticeable on the bike. Not a huge fan of the neon green logos- again, hardly noticeable.

Fairly light, very stiff, very short, and cool looking. Good choice for a messenger/urban fixie bike. Can also raise hand position about 3 inches if you need that. Otherwise a good value from a solid brand. cob

Purchased for a 1996 Univega Alpina 506 that's used as a commuter. The controls were a bit tight but went on with no problems. Just enough room for Gripshift and brake levers. Nice paint, and enough rise to be comfortable. The original Concept flat bars were cut down (almost an inch on each side) in 1996, and I ran a set of Trek Road Warrior gum wall slicks. No one was doing this at the time. I was an innovator, and can be called the Father of the Modern Urban Bike Movement, and a Pioneer of Style.

I have read all of the reviews here and whatever video I could find about it online. I decided to purchase it to experience it first hand. For the price point, there's really not much to loose. You might find that it will be too narrow for you if you are 5' 8" and taller. I'm a medium build at 160 lbs. I was actually holding up a measuring tape the night before I received it just to see how it would feel like using something this narrow. Then it came (yes, I had it delivered one day as I am impatient). After I installed it, I went around the block several times with my kids and I got over how narrow it felt in not much time at all. It actually reminded me of when I used to cut my redline handlebar on my bmx to make it narrower so that I can maneuver tricks easily. Anywho...The two inches of rise made more difference than I anticipated. It will not sit you upright (it's only 60mm) but it did move my center of gravity towards the back enough to eliminate the numbing sensation that I used to get on my palms and fingers even after just 10 minutes of riding. My MTB still looks like a MTB and not a cruiser.I was also worried how I would fit my shifters, levers and grips. To my surprise, I didn't have to put an extension. I had to use all of the space up to the welding to fit everything, but it worked (look at the pic). I prefer this over my flat bar after experiencing the ride. It is thick and light. Can't say anything about its durability yet.I can't wait to take it to the track and not feel like I'm going to have huge rocks for lunch going down hill with the help of the extra height on the front.Update 03/08/16 -Took it to the trails. I found that I was muscling through rough terrain too much. Just as I thought, the angle of my wrist to shoulder widdth was not at its optimum. It is just too narrow for that purpose. I will be putting it on my 6 year old kid's bike. Bought a 620mm (slightly longer) carbon handlebar and a Stem with 30 degrees to rise the bar where I want it. My MTB feels somewhat like an adult bike again. In conclusion; just like the name reads, "Urban", that would be the appropriate terrain for using this bar.

These bars are exactly what I wanted for my urban fixie. Great bars that are very well made, they are also very narrow which is what I like but some might not realize what it is like to ride with a very narrow grip.

I had gotten a killer deal on a used Kona Mountain bike that was just a tad too smal for me. the Rise of these bars gave me just enough of a boost that it now fits like a glove. They are quite a bit more narrow than the bars they replaced, but since most of my riding is urban, that is not a big problem. Great bars, great price.

I ordered these to replace my drops. They are nice but a bit shorter then I would have liked. My own fault thought. Very good quality and build highly recommended. If you use single speed bike or brake lever with shifters built in these will be perfect.
