The tool is designed to access the center port on the GM fuel tank sending unit. For 3/8" and 1/2" applications. Will also service 2001 - current 3/4- and 1-ton trucks with the Duramax diesel engines.

Great disconnect tool. Used for removing GM e85 sensor. Other tools had to long of a throat which I was unable to get past the sensor. This tool has an offset throat which was just big enough to fit in the tight space.

This tool works GREAT. I wasted money and time struggling with 4 (four!) other tools in a failed attempt to remove two 1/2" fuel line disconnects on my 2006 Duramax before purchasing this tool.Properly releases all four disconnect tabs to the proper diameter.Probably no coincidence that it looks identical to the tool called out in the GM service manual.

Nice idea, but a little too big to fit where I needed it. The smaller plastic circular fuel line disconnect tools are probably best for my vehicle application. The tool is of decent build quality.

Very well made (METAL not plastic) disconnect tool. It made easy work of 16+ year old fittings on a 2001 Duramax fuel tank. Works very well. Just spray some WD40 itno the fitting first to loosen any grit or rust. Excellent tool.

I could not get it to remove the fuel filter on an 02 Chevy Tahoe Flex fuel any way I tried. The packaging even said specifically for Chevy Fuel Filter removal. The tool itself is of good construction and I'm sure it works well on fittings with more room.

I bought the plastic round ones and this one just in case one didn't work. When they arrived I compared the business end side-by-side and they both looked feasible. However, the plastic 1/2" round guy did not work but this scissors one did. Plus, the scissors format acts as a handle that gives you added leverage providing more pressure to get the release mechanism into that tight fuel conn gap! I'm so glad I bought the 2 just in case one didn't work otherwise, had I only gone with the plastic one, my AirDog fuel pump installation would have stalled. Thanks OTC!
