This cut is "Plain Sawn" material and is cut from the outer edge of the log leaving it with basically no grain pattern. I was disappointed in it's appearance. It is finished well and is S4S...just what almost every woodworker WOULD NOT PICK to work with.

These are very nice pieces of walnut and affordable, IMO. Shipping was very fast as well. Cannot wait to start my project.

The package came as described. The Black Walnut was of high quality with no warping whatsoever. I have always had good experiences with them. The prices are competitive but their selections are the difference. I look to them first when I’m shopping.
